A Word of Caution Regarding Equal Parts Hospitality (EPH)

I encourage you to carefully consider your decision to dine at any Equal Parts Hospitality property. Based on my experience, the working environment at EPH raises significant concerns, particularly in terms of compensation and treatment of staff. Many employees are paid below the industry standard, which has created a challenging environment for staff members. This, combined with the company’s reliance on a limited job market, seems to result in a cycle of attracting young employees who are in need of work but are not receiving fair compensation.

Although I haven’t worked for Equal Parts in over a year, I have since assisted several former colleagues in finding new employment opportunities, and they have expressed relief and gratitude for the support. It appears that EPH struggles to retain staff, often shifting additional responsibilities onto remaining employees without offering fair compensation, raises, or clear paths for career advancement.

From my perspective, this company is facing significant challenges, and it seems unlikely that their current business model will lead to long-term success. For those considering where to spend their money, I recommend supporting businesses that prioritize fair treatment and equitable compensation for their employees while fostering a positive and supportive work environment.

Equal Parts has been a dream to work with. Their organization and efficiency is overshadowed by the delightful food that they create. The team is extremely professional and committed to creating beautiful moments that will last a lifetime!

EP catered a celebration in our home, and it was a fantastic experience. They arrived on time, the staff who supported the event were efficient and easy to work with, and the food was exceptional — our guests were incredibly pleased and so were we. I’m not sure why they have so few reviews, but I highly recommend them and would definitely go with EP again.

Crab Rangoon- way too many wonton chips- enough for 4 ppl, too big for an appetizer. Garlic knots- ok, marinara tasted heavily like tomato paste. Pork chop was very nice - cooked well. Mango curry- nope. Not curry. Sweet potato slices, very dry cauliflower, and chick peas with a very sweet sauce slightly flavoured with Indian spice- definitely not curry and quite disappointing. Overall would not return.

We attended a wedding reception at the Diplomat. The appetizers, meal and dessert were fabulous and the staff were very friendly, accommodating and attentive. Will visit again for another delicious meal.

Our server Krista was such a delight. She was helpful and friendly the entire time and recommended some really delightful dinner choices. The hazelnut crusted braised beef and the steak were incredible. The dessert option were also very tasty. I would absolutely come back to this restaurant and recommend it to my friends.
