Amazing food! Super delicious

I just attended a wedding at West Ave. Cider House where Johnny Blonde catered (passed plates style) & it was one fantastic dish after another!
Their sliders (chicken as well as porchetta), steak w/chimichurri skewers, chicken satay skewers, cups w/mashed potatoes/gravy/brisket, mac n' cheese balls, and chicken tacos were all TOP LEVEL & had everyone salivating.
Not only was the food on point but Layal (I didn't discover she was the JB co-partner until after the event, but it made so much sense learning that after) was an absolute treasure at the event spreading kindness, thoughtfulness in her attention to details that went beyond just the food, & providing support to not just the bride/groom but also to the bridesmaids who were trying to oversee event details so the couple could enjoy their day.
The JB team were absolutely top notch from start to finish, & their whole staff we're thoughtful in the way that they carried out their duties. If you want you & your guests to have a smooth event with every serving need well thought out & fantastic food to boot DO NOT MISS THESE GUYS! Your tastebuds & your sanity will thank you after ;)
I'm now trying to think of an event where we can hire them because I so want to taste this food again!

We recently hired Jonny Blonde to cater my mother’s 90th birthday bash. What an amazing experience! From my first contact with Layal, I felt completely confident that they would do an outstanding job! Layal is an excellent communicator and extremely knowledgeable. We truly appreciated her insights regarding menu choices, timeline and rental selections. On the day of the event, Layal and our bartender Elenia, did a beautiful job with set-up and preparations and were so lovely and easy to work with. The food was absolutely amazing and the guests couldn’t stop talking about it. They even packed up the leftovers into individual containers for our guests to take home. They went above and beyond our expectations with the clean up, leaving the venue immaculate and ensuring our rentals were packed away for pick up. Thank you for giving us amazing memories! We will definitely use Jonny Blonde again for our next event.

We hired Jonny Blonde for our wedding, working with Layal & Jon towards our special day was seamless, comfortable, and wonderful! The food they put together for us and our guests was something our guests still rave about to this day. Their commitment to making your event special, unique, and unbelievable is unmatched.
They have incredible staff, who work just as hard as Layal and Jon do, they are such wonderful people who are so professional and knowledgeable. The Bartender that was brought on by Jonny Blonde, Sam, was the best bartender we could have ever asked for. Their whole team made sure our guests were taken care of, and safe.

We highly recommend Jonny Blonde to anyone wanting the BEST food at your event. It truly was one of the best meals we have ever had in our lives!! Again, our friends and family are still talking about it as the best food they have ever had at an event!!

They worked diligently to ensure all of our guests with allergies were taken care of, and any vegetarians were treated with such care.

Our event was on the third floor of a building, and the elevator was not working at the time of dinner. Instead of pushing back dinner, Jonny Blonde's team without hesitation ran the food for our wedding up three flights of stairs, over and over to make sure our wedding day went according to plan. We can never thank this team enough for their commitment and care.

Fair warning, you will be dreaming of their food until you get your hands on it again. Highly, highly, highly recommend!

I hired Jonny Blonde to cater a work event in Hamilton with 60 attendees. Layal was super responsive, flexible, and great to work with. The food was delicious and the options for people with food allergies and restrictions were great. Definitely the best catering we have had at a work event for the past several years. We hired Jonny Blonde for our wedding a couple weeks ago and I can honestly say it was one of the best meals we've ever had.

Jonny and Layal will make things from scratch that many others won't (buns and gnocchi come to mind) and you can really taste the difference. The steak was perfectly done, the chicken was tender, and the vegetables were fresh and flavourful. The gnocchi was hands down the best gnocchi I've ever had and a huge hit among our friends and family. Jonny is a true craftsman behind a stove.

I have a serious food allergy and right from the start Layal was diligent about making sure that all of the food would be safe for me and explained how they prepare their food, where it comes from, and how their mobile kitchen runs. She made sure the menu was built around food that I could eat right down to the hors d'oeuvres, and made sure each and every one of our guests with dietary restrictions had something they could eat too.

We had guests coming up to us all night asking who we had hired for catering, and when I saw some friends from work a few days later that we had invited they were still talking about how good the food was. I would hire Jonny and Layal again in a heartbeat!

Had this amazing food at a Wedding on October 4, 2025 and found it was this company Jonny Blonde. Everything was piping hot, fresh and delicious. The service was excellent. They went above and beyond for us. I highly recommend trying Jonny Blonde you won’t be disappointed
