Portuguesa Tarts are one of my favourite treats thanks to my hubby, who's been obsessed with them most of his life!
We literally try them everywhere we go, and we even take road trips JUST to try new places.
With all of our travels, and all of the places we've tried, these Portuguese Tarts (at the very least) tie with our #1 place. But they might actually be our new #1.
The custard is velvety smooth and perfectly flavoured. It's not overly sweet. The crust is buttery and incredibly flakey...audibly flakey, if you know what I mean. Hahaha! And they were still a little warm, which is so important!!!!!!!

Parking: Many options ranging from free for 1 hour if you validate your ticket at farmers market to street parking and lot parking nearby. I usually park in a lot close by that is $2 on Weekends and holidays and there is one that is free on Sundays. Please note when there are events there are parking options with $ 20-25 flat fee but if you don’t mind walking a couple of blocks, nearby lots are the way to go.
Wheelchair accessibility: There is a ramp to the farmers market from the street and an elevator from Jackson Square. The market may get busy so not very comfortable to navigate for individuals with disabilities. However there are tables and chairs close by for rest and to have food/drink
