Extremely disappointing experience at the **970 Upper Wentworth** location. After waiting in a very busy drive-thru, I ordered two **cheeseburger Happy Meals** for my kids and paid in full. At the second window, I was told—twice—that I had ordered nuggets because “that’s what the screen showed,” and that I would have to **pay again** to change it.

When I refused to pay twice for their mistake, I was told I would need to wait **7 minutes** if I wanted cheeseburgers, which made no sense since most people in line were clearly ordering hamburgers. This felt very deliberate. They could also clearly see my two young children in the backseat.

I was told to park and wait. After over **20 minutes**, I had to flag down an employee and then **call the store** because no one knew where my order was. From waiting in line to finally receiving the food, the entire ordeal took nearly **40 minutes**—and the Happy Meals arrived **freezing cold**. Staff were rude, dismissive, and unprofessional.

My children were left hungry over something that could have been fixed in under a minute. Completely unacceptable customer service.

Waited in line for NO JOKE I TIMMED IT 25 MINUTES for 2 jr chickens and a happy meal… they were soooo beyond rude and didn’t even apologize for the wait. I was late to my shift because of their no urge of being quick. Food came out absolutely disgusting and don’t even know what this sauce is on my jr chicken.

I came in today and the service was nice, but I noticed that gloves were not being used while preparing the food. Since hands touch many things, it made me a bit concerned about hygiene. I hope this can be improved. Thank you!

SKIP THIS LOCATION. Worst location in Hamilton. Really why do I bother giving it more chances. Everytime I come here the drive thru is super slow, there's ALWAYS some kind of issue with my order such as getting it wrong before the pay window or the actual food coming out wrong. The cookies I received were SO STALE.

I recently visited the McDonald's location at 970 Upper Wentworth St, Hamilton, ON L9A 4V8, which is conveniently located just a minute's walk from my workplace at Limeridge Mall. After a long night shift, I was looking forward to grabbing a bite to eat around 12:30 AM. Then locked their restaurant before the closing time However, when I tried to order through the drive-thru, I was disappointed to be turned away by the staff, who claimed that they couldn't serve me because I didn't have a car. I found this response to be unreasonable, especially considering that I was willing to pay in advance. I've had better experiences at other fast-food chains, such as A&W and Tim Horton's, where I've been able to order through the drive-thru on foot without any issues.

Pretty much have an issue every time I go to Upper Wentworth McDonald's. Either the order is wrong or a food quality issue. This morning my egg sandwich was burnt. You can't tell me they didn't notice.

Terrible experience at this McDonald’s around 1 a.m. for an Uber Eats pickup. One guy at the drive-thru first told me to come to the window, then suddenly said I had to text the order number to some random phone number before getting the food. The drive-thru wasn’t busy at all… not a single car…. yet he refused to hand over the order and was extremely rude with no clear instructions. Even with plenty of staff inside I ended up waiting so long and finally had to cancel the order myself, which also hurt the customer. I’ve been doing Uber Eats for over two years and have never seen a store run like this…. if you’re doing deliveries at night please avoid this location.

This morning as we were heading for Montreal, we stopped at our local McDonald’s for 3 egg McMuffin combos and 2 coffees.

Not only was the communication awful- with multiple attempts to restate the order both at the screen and then again at the window. We ordered 2 bacon and egg McMuffin combos with milk to drink and 1 egg McMuffin combo with a medium coffee (black) and then an extra coffee (medium regular).
We restated the order multiple times- the coffee was made incorrectly and then “we weren’t charged for the milk” (but it should come with the order) and then when my son went to eat his bacon and egg, the bun was completely burned.

I understand a slight oversight but this was simply negligible. See photos attached. Super disappointed considering this is a franchise and they’re supposed to be consistent regardless of McDonald’s you attend. Worst $22 bucks spent!

My first time being so mad at McDonald’s. So to be honest this is not first time , when I get disappointed by this McDonald’s, but I didn’t write the review since I thought this thing are happening sometimes in restaurants like McDonald’s. But this happens most of the time here. Today me and my family member went to McDonalds for lunch, ordered 1 quarter pounder BLT menu, Big Mac, and ice cream cone. In the menu there were medium fries included,BUT the amount of fries was definitely less than the medium fries usually are, it was more close to a small fries than to medium, and that’s not the only problem with fries, it also was BARELY WARM. We didn’t get our receipt so I wasn’t either able to write a review to a McDonalds support, and without restaurant number and the exact date and time I can’t do it. ALSO the Quater pounder blt from the menu was felling apart, and the meat was falling of the burger right after you grab it, also in this menu for drink we ordered small orange fruitopia, and MORE THAN A HALF CUP WAS FILLED WITH ICE. The last thing, I am one of these people who collect McDonald’s toys when there are actually cool series of toys, and I knew about turtles and hello kitty coloboration coming to McDonald’s happy meal, and I always check the toys. The toys in this glass box were the lil McDonald’s ones, but than, I saw kids getting the happy meals with hello kitty and turtles, the ones I have been waiting for a few weeks, right after we made our order. That never happened, and usually McDonald’s staff is supposed to put these toy in there so people can see what they have , which they didn’t do.
