Repeatedly getting orders wrong, multiple happy meals received missing the burger. What does it take to complete an order properly? Do better, your service is a 1/10!! We definitely need a BURGER KING in Waterdown!!

I went through the drive-thru on March 3, 2026 at approximately 3:33pm and ordered two small drinks, two poutines, and two cookies.
When I pulled up to the second window, I was handed what appeared to be Happy Meal drinks. It caught me off guard, which is why I calmly asked, “Is that a small?” The employee, Preet, responded that I had ordered a Happy Meal or two Happy Meals. The tone and manner in which this was said felt dismissive. I said no, I did not order any Happy Meals, and began repeating my actual order to clarify. The window was then shut on me mid sentence while I was repeating what I ordered.
Every time I visit this McDonald’s location, staff normally re read my order to me. That practice helps me tremendously as someone who is hard of hearing because it allows me to confirm that my order was heard correctly. That did not happen during this visit.
I could see staff scrambling behind the window, which made me question whether there had been a mix up. I AM HARD OF HEARING and WEAR HEARING AIDS,, which means clear communication is essential for me. I was genuinely trying to determine whether I misheard them or they misheard me.
When the window reopened, instead of explaining what was happening, the debit machine was pushed toward me with the total. I responded that I understood I had to pay, but I wanted to know what I was paying for if I had just been handed the wrong drinks.
Another employee then explained that there had been a mobile order mix up. The shift manager, Ryan, eventually apologized and provided the order free of charge, which I acknowledge. However, free food does not address the underlying issue.
McDonald’s needs clearer training on how to provide service to individuals with disabilities, including invisible ones. Just because a disability is not visible does not mean it is not real. When I was advocating for myself and trying to clarify my order, I felt dismissed rather than supported.
Treating customers with patience, clear communication, and respect would prevent situations like this. I am sharing this not just for myself, but to advocate for others who live with hearing disabilities and rely on accessible communication every day.

I really like the layout of this McDonald's; the interior feels modern and the self-serve kiosks are easy to navigate. I ordered through the app and my food was ready at the counter within minutes. The staff were friendly and made sure I had all my sauces before I left. It's a convenient spot with plenty of seating if you're looking to sit down and eat. Good consistency and service every time.

I'd like to compliment the drive-thru staff for their outstanding customer service. Today, I had a great experience, and there was a beautiful girl whose name tag was Shivu. She was really calm, polite and friendly as she gave me the food so quickly, and I would appreciate her for the excellent customer service. She truly made my day with her humble attitude and made the experience smooth and pleasant! Keep up the great work!..

Messing up orders more often than getting them right. Overcharged me today and messed up the order specifics, so that's the last nail.
Rolled into town, in a rush on new years here so I gave them another shot. They messed up both burgers and the coffee. How do you mess up the coffee too!?!

Had to repeat my order. Repeated my coffee order 3 times (large Double double) not difficult to understand. Received a large regular. When my food was handed to me I asked if ketchup was in the bag, I WAS TOLD YES!!! I GOT TO WORK DEFINITELY ZERO KETCHUP IN THE BAG. how do you get a customer service job with ZERO CUSTOMER SERVICE SKILLS????

This McDonalds stole my money. On August 15th I placed an order on the McDonalds app, the payment came out of my bank, and when I went to pick up my order they told me that the payment did not go through and that I would have to pay again. They did not care that I had a receipt emailed to me, or that I could show them the charge on my banking app. I said I would not pay a second time so I did not get my order. The lady at the window told me that the charge would be automatically reversed. Weeks later the charge has not been reversed. After emailing McDonalds support I was told that they do not offer refunds apparently even if you never received your food. What did I pay $22.65 for? Why is this so complicated? I paid for nothing, give me my money back. This has to be illegal.
