If you are looking for a “not too sweet” dessert spot in Hamilton or nearby, look no further than My Sweetooth. Every dessert we tried was fresh, balanced, and full of flavour without being overly sweet.
We ordered the coffee Basque cheesecake, sesame mochi donut, strawberry choux cream puff, and coconut cream ube cake roll and honestly, they were all perfect!
The choux cream puff had such a crispy outer shell that it almost makes you swallow your tongue. The chiffon cake roll was light and smooth, while the coconut cream was fragrant and the ube cream had a lovely nutty flavour. The coffee Basque cheesecake was rich and aromatic, with a slight bitterness from the cocoa powder on top that made the baked flavour even deeper and more satisfying.
What stood out the most is how well-balanced the sweetness was. Nothing felt heavy or overwhelming, and you can really taste the freshness in every bite. Everything is made fresh daily.
Beyond the desserts, I had a chance to chat with Jia, the owner and baker, and she was so friendly, thoughtful, and accommodating. When she found out I had a 2-hour ride home, she kindly offered me an ice bag to keep the cakes fresh, though I jokingly told her not to worry because I’d probably finish them all on the way home.
You can really feel the care and passion behind this shop, both in the desserts and in the service. Definitely a place I’ll keep coming back to.

Definitely try the mochi! We were so lucky one day to catch the owner there, making a fresh batch! Best mochi I’ve ever had.
I ordered the strawberry cream puff cake and it was absolutely delicious. The cake was light, fluffy, and perfectly balanced—not overly sweet. Everything tasted fresh, and the quality really stood out. The service was excellent as well, making the whole experience even better. Highly recommend!

I genuinely love this place so much their sweets are absolutely superb!! I highly recommend the cream puffs (vanilla is my personal fave tbh) or strawberry cake you cannot go wrong!!
The desserts and drinks here are always amazing, my reason for writing the review however is the girly who was behind the counter today, she was all on her own and killed it, super friendly and recommended a tasty drink for my daughter (that she loved!)

This is one of my favourite places in the city. Nothing on the menu is overly sweet, which I love! The focus is always on capturing the flavour of each ingredient. I love ube and pistachio, and the ube Basque cheesecake, ube coconut cake roll, and pistachio cream puff delivered those flavours perfectly. The raspberry lychee mochi was an absolute delight! And when I removed the lid covering the mango passionfruit tiramisu, the alluring aroma that hit me was equivalent to the scrumptious taste awaiting inside the box. Finally, the chewy Dubai cookie was both delicious and aesthetic. Everything in the shop is obviously prepared with love and expertise. Run, don't walk!

I visited MySweetooth recently and wanted to let others know of this amazing store and staff. They have filling creme puffs with delicious flavours like Thai Tea, Raspberry, and Matcha. Last year, I ordered a custom matcha heart birthday cake and it was truly made with love. Shout out to Gia, Amelie, Elahna, and Peter for making my experience so lovely. I will be coming back, and I recommend others to try their menu and witness their excellent hospitality!

I love this bakery. I have to stop by whenever I’m in the area. The cream puffs are always my favourite but the mochi is also excellent! When they make their (rare) mango panna cotta I make a special trip just to grab one. Best bakery in Hamilton 🍰
