“Fantastic place with comfortable wooden seating benches, pillows along the windows seating, eclectic posters and decor and buzzy but not overtly loud or obnoxious convo happening. Although £12 for my lentil burger made me blanche, the generous sides of salad and housemade slaw (I asked for no fries nor burger bun) made it all worth it. There’s so much on the plate I boxed half for home (I had drank a smoothie before I had arrived here). The slaw in particular is divine: it doesn’t have that gross mayo gloppiness I usually despise. It’s quite fresh. There’s a lovely vinaigrette on the greens and the burger has a moreish artichoke sauce. The staff is friendly as are the customers; dog-friendly too!”

Every time I come in, whether it’s early morning or during a busy lunch rush, Sharon is calm, friendly, and incredibly efficient. She always greets customers with a genuine smile and somehow manages to remember regular orders, even when the line is out the door.

What really stands out is her attention to detail and how she keeps things moving without making anyone feel rushed. You can tell she takes pride in her work, and that kind of attitude makes a huge difference in a place that sees so many people every day.

“Just had the most amazing shrimp tacos! Accidentally found this place while trying to find parking at the mall. We were greeted so nicely and gave us recommendations as well. The shrimp tacos were super flavourful served in a grilled corn tortilla and salad. We also ordered onion rings on the side which were amazing. Just the right amount of seasoning and not oily at all. It came with a spicy sauce. The really nice part is that the owner has colourful picnic tables set up and music playing from coliurful rocks which really set the vibe. He even brought our food to us! Talk about great service. 5 stars. Highly recommended. Can't wait to try other things on the menu!”

We celebrated my wife’s 40th birthday here, and the team went above and beyond to make it special with personalized live music and a cake. It was such a thoughtful touch that made the night even more memorable. The food here is absolutely incredible—nothing less than what you’d get at the best places in New Delhi, India, in terms of taste and quality. Every dish was a delight and added to the wonderful experience. A special shoutout to our server, Meet—he’s an absolute rockstar in hospitality and customer service! His attentiveness and warm demeanor made the experience exceptional. The hospitality industry, especially in the west, needs more people like him. I have no doubt he’ll thrive and excel in this field. Desi Bar & Grill is hands down the most lively pub I’ve experienced in Canada in my more than half a decade here. Special mentions to Divij, Kaitlyn, Sargun who were absolutely awesome!!! Brittany was very accommodating to our needs. The private dining area made our party more intimate. Food was brought out in a timely manner and tasted amazing. Our guests only had positive things to say as well. We would definitely consider hosting a party here again. “Food is really good, but despite ordering ahead , there was a long wait. It was told 35 minutes as waiting time, but it took 55 minutes to get the food. Taste for fish is authentic. Chicken burger is good as well
