Zaks is one of our favourite spots to hit up when in the city. Always great food and a great atmosphere - only thing is the price point. Most recent visit was my son and I - both got milkshakes and I had a club with breaky poutine he had pancakes with side bacon and home fries to the tune of 70$ +. Loved the food was simply taken back by the cost.

We asked for maple syrup for the french toast and the server completely ignored us for about half an hour. Furthermore, their home fries and tater tots are frozen and not freshly made.

My fiancé and I love this place. There are many vegan options on the menu, even milkshakes! I just wish they had vegan pancakes. Just don't use buttermilk or eggs (or use flax egg - easy and less $ than eggs) The staff is always super nice and the diner theme is well done. Cute date spot!
