“A Hidden Gem with Heart and Flavor! From the moment we walked into The Corner House, we were warmly welcomed by Vee (the co-owner) and the incredible staff who made us feel right at home. The cozy charm of the place is matched only by the quality of the food, which is nothing short of exceptional. We began our meal with the Mushrooms Neptune and a lovely bottle of wine, both of which set the tone for an evening of indulgent, thoughtfully prepared dishes. For our entrées, we each chose one of the day's specials, and they did not disappoint. Every bite was fresh, flavorful, and clearly made with love. Alan, the chef (and co-owner and Vee’s husband), is a true talent in the kitchen. We ended our meal with the chocolate peanut butter cheesecake, which was rich, decadent, and the perfect sweet finish. It is obvious that only premium ingredients are used, and the attention to detail shines through in every dish. A huge thank you to the staff. Their service was impeccable and genuinely warm. “They always have new and fun seasonal drinks! The flavours are unique and make for a novel experience every time you go. The owners are so sweet and friendly and their community involvement is amazing! They have a board to buy a meal for those in need, and it’s so wonderful to see how generous people are.
We love to get their BLTs and a drink before hitting up the surrounding thrift stores. It’s the perfect place for a cozy breakfast or snack!”

“The lobster bisque was delicious. The baked salmon with garlic dill sauce was fresh and delicious. The veal parmigiana was good, but the tomato sauce on the pasta was too sweet. The music was what you would expect in an Italian restaurant--beautiful, all instrumental, all Italian and not too loud. Overall, a very pleasant experience.”

“Had to feed 17 people with varying dietary requirements. I sent Sammy’s all the orders two days in advance and when I came to pick it up it was all labelled and ready to go. Fed everyone for under $265 and it was delicious. They pack the pitas filled with mouth watering goodness. Thanks Sammy’s. It was awesome!”

To the point I walked outside and waited for my food because I was getting a headache. idk why you have to light incense's instead of letting the smell of BBQ fill the place! I recommend ANY!!!! other location then Barrie... don't go.”

“I had ordered a large drink via DoorDash, and when I got the order and opened the bag, I noticed that there were two drinks instead of one large. I found a sweet note attached by one of the workers who had made my drink explaining that they were running short on large cups so they made me a medium and a small. Thank you so much much to whoever did this. You made my day!!!”
