We stopped by last weekend after walking around downtown Kingston all morning and the amok was honestly some of the best we've had outside of actually being in Cambodia. Our server took real time explaining the menu since neither of us had tried Khmer food before, and she never made us feel rushed even though we asked a lot of questions. Had the amok trei and the Battambang beef skewers last Saturday evening and both were packed with flavor, the lemongrass really came through. Our server noticed we were new to Cambodian food and walked us through the whole menu without rushing us once. The dining room has this warm, low-lit vibe that made a two hour dinner feel effortless. We ended up splitting a sticky rice dessert and already texted the group chat about going back next month.
I ALWAYS enjoyed my meals at Cambodian Village. I tried a few of their dishes now, but my all-time favourites are the **Phanaeng Kai (#1)**, **Phad Thai (#15)**, and **House Special (#25)**, along with the spring rolls, and everything was VERY good!!
