What a lovely airy bright space. Exactly how you want your local indie cafe to feel. The service and coffee and merchandise is super good and quaint and hyper local. The owner clearly cares about the business and community as a whole it is evident. Would highly recommend and would definitely come back. Kids loved the lemonade and cookies.

The service here is ALWAYS friendly. There is nothing on the menu that I would not eat, and the coffee is fantastic.

Juniper is in our top 4 regular breakfast spots in Kingston.

Chicken sandwich and London fog were excellent; service was quick and friendly. Price was high for a sandwich and drink.

When I entered Juniper cafe I was pleasantly surprised by the environment. It's a beautiful space. I was taken aback by the no computer from 11am - 2pm sign discouraging customers from coming in the shop to work. As a customer who spent 2.5 hours here and spent $30 I was a bit offended. In my mind, a customer that comes into your space on a regular basis to both patronize and work in your space is a good thing... they can have a lifetime value beyond the one visit. Don't most people google searching local café's do that for a space to work and a place to eat/snack? Seems a bit misguided. That said, it's a perfect place to drink, work and snack lol. You may just feel guilty about it.

🌿 So glad to have found this café to have a bite and great coffee between Toronto and Montreal! I had a delicious mushroom sandwich with perfect citrusy spread served in focaccia bread. 🥪☕️🌿
Splendid fern mural, banquettes, high ceilings. Couples, friends, seniors, mothers with child… the whole local community seems to have adopted this café! (Probably no more than 2-km off the 401, south of it, exit 613)

Imo overpriced, but the quality of the products and food is amazing. Everything is made in house and tasty, many options for sweets and drinks. Staff are helpful and attentive.

I dropped in here on my way to Ottawa from Toronto after using the Electrify Canada charging station in the Canadian Tire parking lot.

I was 10 minutes before close and the fellow behind the counter helped me pick out a London Fog & a ginger cookie for the road. Both were good, the ginger cookie had a bit of extra spice to it which was unique to me … I’ve had my share of ginger cookies and I really liked it.

Nice place, will likely drop by again as a big upgrade of the Tim Hortons up the road from the charging station.
