Servers were awesome. Witnessed acts of kindness to elderly patrons. Mix of clientele:families, students, regulars and those in-between. Food was great and portions were generous. Beer : you get a real pint. It's a great atmosphere. Would recommend if you want a neighbourhood pub experience.
My brother and I were in Kingston and went to Portsmouth Tavern and had fish and chips and a beer, the food was awesome and atmosphere was great with great people who worked there, I highly recommend this place if you are in Kingston
4 of us arrived, a little under a time crunch as we were scheduled to go to the Kingston Pen tour. We walked in and were a bit scared as the tavern was busy and we only noted 2 floor staff. We kept our order simple - 4 grilled cheese sandwiches, 1 with fries, 1 with bacon. We were blown away! Not a typical white bread grilled cheese, we got homemade bread with REAL cheese & great french fries! Thank you for serving up quality, in a timely manner. We will be back indeed.
