“What a unique location in Kingston, a wood lodge theme restaurant in the hotel.Had Rubens smoke meat sandwiche. With a chicken noodle soup, it was so tasty and delicious.And my girlfriend had a 2 piece Fish and Chips. Everything was well cooked and hot when served.All in all a great night. “Have been to this location about 5 times. The food is consistently excellent however she service also consistently lacks. We always have a reservation and we always wait for 10 minutes in the lobby to be seated. Additionally, it seems that every step through the dining experience just takes so long. From getting the drinks, to the food coming out, to the plates getting cleared and desert being brought out and getting the bill afterwards. To go have a similar experience at another restaurant seems to take about 45 minutes less from start to finish. I'm not concerned about the time spent at the establishment but the amount of time waiting for the next step is excessive. I'm beginning to think I may go elsewhere for a steak dinner.“

“Highly recommend throwing your party/event here! I rented out the basement space and it was perfect for my son’s 1st birthday. Clean bathrooms, lots of chairs and tables to use, a little stage at the front, and such a big space for such a great price. Will be renting this space again in the future.“

“What a great all in one spot! It's quite a unique place! I came here for a latin dance class with some friends and it was our first time here. I was pleasantly surprised of the vibe! It has something for everyone.. there's bingo, board games, pool, slot machines, bar, great well priced food, and variety of events like live music or the dance class or open mic! Very large place and can accommodate large groups on the tables. The staff is nice and accommodating. The food is delicious and smells so nice too! They have a nice variety of dishes and the prices are affordable. Definitely will be coming back again!“
“This dog friendly hotel went above and beyond for our visit. On check-in we were given a gift bag containing a bag of treats, a new metal water bowl, a squeaky toy, a blanket and a roll of 'poop' bags. All of this for our Cavalier King Charles Spaniel 'Willie'. In addition, a great room. Special thanks to Finn and the other front desk staff.“
“I have been to the University Tavern 3 times and had 3 different meals and every one was absolutely delicious. I would highly recommend this patio, it is such a great place to sit and hang out with friends or family or your children. The waiters are extremely friendly and provide great service. Prices for the meals and appetizers are great. I will definitely frequent this place a lot and introduce many people to this great establishment.“

“This old school Irish pub is a great place to chill. We got the table in the front beside the bar. The bartender was very friendly and funny. He made sure we were comfortable and shared some laughs with us. The food was also good. We got a Mushroom and beef pie and Grilled Cheese with jalapeno and banana peppers. It’s located right in the downtown so you can walk around and have a good time there.“
“Great ribs on Thursday. Fries were cold but our amazing waitress was quick to get us a fresh basket of hot fresh ones. The ribs with the 40 creek sauce was so tasty. Coleslaw was lightly vinegar and sweet, perfect combination and crunchy Moza cheese stick with great sauce were good.“

The regulars on the bar, the wait staff that know your name, it’s the most loyal pub I’ve found in this city and everyone’s welcome. It’s all society and all ages. Do yourself a favour and saddle up along the bar here and order a drink. The beef dip with poutine upgrade is a wise man’s choice.“
