I had the shaved steak sandwich and French onion soup, which is exactly what I needed after I day on the River. The staff here are courteous and welcoming. “we very much enjoyed our visit to Ma BarkersTavern. Not knowing what to expect, Tyson and myself did have a wonderful time at MA's. We receive not only an awesome burger ( properly cooked) at an awsomer price, both staff and guests were welcoming and accommodating. Tyson recieved all the attention he requires insofar as the staff offering to prepare his burger bite size. A great pleasure was everyone was willing to overlook my short commings. A special shoutout to "Duffy" (perhaps staff?) for a much needed helping hand and a staff member serving Tyson's burger bite size, your kindness was greatly appreciated. Side note; Anyone Interested in a beautiful scenic upstate, NY evening cruise would not be disappointed with a ride to Ma's tavern for Monday's bikes, burger and beer. I believe $10 for awesome Burger side cookie and the price included the beer, I paid $10 ( did not count my change) for awesome Burger which includes plenty of condiments pickles, onions, lettuce and more, a couple of sides, and a cookie. I belive the price even included the beer! Another side note; I looked at the jar but did not partake in the item labeled "spicy pickle" however, I did overhear more than 1 person indicating that the pickles are indeed spicy.“
“I'm not sure about food cause i mever really eat here. I'm always going to party. But the bar is a ton of fun if you hit it on the right nights. And as strange as that sounds during the week is usually the times I'm speaking of.“
“We had the Richland Hotel cater our wedding and they were wonderful. They supplied everything for us, traveled over an hour to the venue, were super friendly and delightful and the price was absolutely unmatched. Thank you Crystal, Nicole and Steve for your wonderful service!!“
“We found this place on Harvest Hosts -- we needed a place to park our RV and grab a meal on our way back to Canada. What a find! Lots of room for us, and the food and service were excellent. Best fish tacos I've ever had, and huge portions. The couple who owns the place were welcoming and helpful, and the gent tending bar was terrific. It's a fun place, obviously loved by locals, who were there drinking excellent beer, playing darts, etc. and having a great time. Will definitely go back when we can.“
“The Balboa prime rib sandwich was really good. Dive bar right next to the salmon river. Wings are really good there and there is a huge selection with a lot of different flavors. I had Thai peanut and garlic teriyaki. Was bummed they didn’t have the salt n vinegar wings though ?Nearby activities: Fishing on The Historic Salmon River“
“Holiday party was incredible here. For Gin lovers they have Hendricks/Bombay. They have a wealth of great other alcohol selections. Bartenders were very nice and locals appears to like this bar. I really have nothing negative to say others it is off the beaten path in Mexico. Move this placee to Syracuse and ir would a license to print money“
