Want good poutine in Kingston? Go to Bubba's Original on King St. They're the ones who brought poutine to Kingston back in the 1980s, so they really know what they're doing! Their Quebec style poutine is amazing. The fries are crispy, the gravy is hot and tasty, and the cheese curds squeak when you bite them (that's how you know they're fresh!). Every time I go, it tastes just as good. The friendly staff are really nice. They always smile and make you feel welcome. You can tell they care about the food they make. They're open late night too, which is awesome. When you want poutine at 11pm, they've got you covered. It's the perfect meal after a night out or when you just want something warm and filling. If you like poutine, you have to try Bubba's. They've been doing it longer than anyone else in Kingston, and it shows!

With all the hype surrounding Bubba‘s Pizza and poutine. I must say I’m rather disappointed.
Food is minimal quality compared to years ago and the poutine isn’t even close to what it once was. 5 out of 10 and 5 being generous. I typically don’t complain, but this was very questionable and overpriced for the quality.
It’s pretty sad when you can get better poutine at five guys and better pizza from Gabrielle’s.

While the food is decent, the customer service is quite lacking. I don't expect a staff member to laugh at and put down our choice of places to eat from on a special occasion in our lives. We love the food here and chose this restaurant specifically because we both enjoy. We used to be pretty regular customers prior to that experience. After that experience though, we've not returned.
