AMAZING! You cannot go wrong here. Pasta is made fresh in house, locally sourced flour, and it is delicious! Great cocktail menu (shout out The Cobbler!!!!) and great food (giant mozza stick and meatballs!!! Chicken parm!!!!), reasonable prices, and the atmosphere is great. Servers are friendly and well informed about their menu. New favourite restaurant. 😍😋

Had valentines dinner here, I had a whiskey sour, probably the best I've ever had. The Bartender was a short woman with glasses. I believe our server was Jeremy, professional, attentive and friendly without being overbearing. We Ordered arancinis, toasted ravioli and a Union salad as my date ate a vegetarian diet. Lots of good vegetarian friendly options, not just an afterthought which was definitely nice. Food came out looking great, tasted delicious. Arancinis had the right texture and amount of sauce. Salad was dressed nicely. The maple mustard vinaigrette I could honestly drink. Toasted ravioli was nice and crispy. Always a great date night spot, fair menu prices if you're looking for some great Italian meals.

Been a witness of true professional work. Bartender/server/possibly expeditor/host/manager in one strong motivated soul in Kamryn. Handling sit downs and myself as bar counter drinkie - she had everyone under control. Talents everywhere - open your eyes.

I was impressed with the service and the food.
Dorrie was pleasant and friendly to us.
Being vegetarian is sometimes hard but I was amazed with the lineup of food we had. À la vodka was on point with a nice spicy kick - and the garlic bread was perfect to go along with it.
10/10 on the drinks!!
Will keep coming back.

This is one of my fave restaurants in Kingston. The shared Brie plate and ala Vodka pasta is to die for. The manager is extremely attentive and friendly. Hats off to the kitchen staff. I would say this is comparable to Woodenheads.

🌟 Outstanding Pre-Show Dinner at Union Kitchen!
We had a 5:00 PM reservation before the Johnny Reid show and were thrilled with our experience at Union Kitchen.
We arrived about 10 minutes early and were seated promptly—a great start to the evening! Since we arrived during Happy Hour, we took advantage of the excellent drink specials.
🍹 Happy Hour Highlights & Drinks
The Aperol Spritz for just $6 was amazing and perfectly refreshing—a true standout. Deciding to linger after dinner, I ordered an Espresso Martini, also from the Happy Hour menu, and it was genuinely one of the best I have ever had. The drink menu here is exceptional.
🍝 Food Review
For our appetizer, we chose the Caprese Salad. While the ingredients were fresh, the presentation/composition wasn't quite what we expected. A suggestion for the kitchen: we feel this dish would be elevated and better served as is with a side of toasted Crostini.
However, the main courses more than made up for it! Both the Shrimp Scampi and the Cannelloni were absolutely superb. The pasta dishes were clearly made with care and excellent flavor.
Overall
Union Kitchen provided a great atmosphere, prompt seating, and incredible value during Happy Hour. The mains were fantastic, and the drinks were top-tier. We highly recommend Union Kitchen for a great dinner, especially if you're attending a show!

We were a group of eight visiting Kingston and decided to try The Union for dinner — and we’re so glad we did! From start to finish, the experience was fantastic. The food was absolutely delicious, the atmosphere warm and inviting, and the service truly exceptional. Thank you to the team for making our evening memorable. We’ll definitely be back!

The food itself was good, but as you can see in the photo, the edges were burnt and they still served it to me like that.
Before that, I was ready to order and kept looking toward the server who is Lucy, but it took quite a while before anyone came to take my order. I think stuff like this need improvement.

Snotty service. Not worth the effort.

We came Monday night around 9 for the 2 for 1 pasta deal but they closed early which was disappointing. We came back the next day to try the food. The pasta was great and tasted fresh, but was honestly nothing special. The tiramisu was a nice portion size, but wasn’t great. The cream was very runny without a strong mascarpone taste, the ladyfingers tasted a bit stale or wasn’t soaked in the coffee well, there wasn’t a strong coffee taste, and the cocoa powder tasted off. Definitely better tiramisus elsewhere.
Service was amazing though!

We were in Kingston for the weekend of Foco (as the uni kids call it) and hadn’t booked a table for Saturday night — big mistake! Luckily, we stumbled upon Union Kitchen and Cocktails on Princess Street and managed to get a table. What a great find!
We shared the meatballs, which were hot, tender, and delicious and the pesto primavera with chicken, which was served piping hot and bursting with flavour.
Our waiter Jeremy was friendly, attentive, and provided top-notch service throughout the evening.
We’ll definitely be back to try more of the menu — Union Kitchen and Cocktails is a true gem in downtown Kingston!

The pasta was very delicious and al dente and the bolognese sauce was really yummy. The fresh basil in the pomodoro pasta my mother got was also a nice touch. Very good food.
