Our visit started off OK. Beer was crisp and atmosphere was cool. We ordered appetizers which were OK the soup was good so was their bread and cheese. That’s when we noticed our server Sam was very inattentive. We waited 20 minutes for her to clear our empty dishes when we were 1 of 2 tables in the restaurant. We made eye contact and nothing. I then ordered a burger and it came out 40 minutes later when the restaurant was all but empty. Not to mention the burger was way over done and you can taste how burnt it was.
My wife enjoyed her cocktails but overall I don’t think this place was worth the trip or money we spent.

We had a wonderful dinner at Union during a recent day trip to Kingston. Special shout out to our server, Jeremy - who was excellent, very knowledgeable about the menu, friendly and attentive! Thanks for giving us such a great experience!
I would highly recommend the toasted ravioli as a must-try appetizer. 👌🏻We wanted to try a little bit of everything so we also ordered a Caesar salad to share, the shrimp scampi, chicken Parmesan, rosé sangria and the espresso crème brûlée for dessert! 10/10
Everything we had was top-notch, flavourful and the ingredients were very fresh. The portions of all our dishes were super generous and the price point was very reasonable. I’ll be happily recommending Union to anyone heading to Kingston and we will definitely be coming back. ☺️

I’ve been to Union a few times now, and every visit keeps me coming back for more. The food is always on point, and the atmosphere is perfect for a night out with friends. On our latest visit to celebrate a friend’s birthday, we had Kamryn as our server—and what a memorable night it was!
Kamryn really went the extra mile to make the evening feel special. She surprised us with limoncello shots for the birthday girl—such a fun and festive touch that instantly elevated the celebration. Little gestures like that make such a difference.
She kept things moving throughout the night, even when we were all catching up and not the fastest decision-makers. Plates were cleared efficiently, and drinks flowed seamlessly. While we didn’t end up getting dessert, it honestly didn’t take away from the great time we had.
Even when the bill came, Kamryn handled it quickly and professionally. Our group can be a little complicated when it comes to splitting things, but she managed it with grace and kept the good vibes going.
All in all, Kamryn added so much energy and charm to the evening. Union continues to be a go-to for great food, great people, and a consistently fun experience. Already looking forward to our next visit!

The atmosphere was cozy and charming, with the kind of lighting that makes everyone at the table look like they're in a movie. And the food? Oh my goodness. Every bite was a celebration - fresh, flavorful, and clearly made with care. It’s rare to find a place where the dishes are both comforting and creative, but this restaurant absolutely nailed it.
What truly made the experience unforgettable was our server, Jeremy. They were the heart of our evening - attentive without hovering, kind without being overly formal, and so genuinely passionate about the menu. It felt like dining with a friend who just happens to be incredibly good at their job.
We left with full bellies, happy hearts, and a new favorite spot we can’t wait to return to. Thank you for making our night so special. And thank you so much to the amazing Dorrie who checked on us and made us feel so special.

We were a larger walk in party on a Sunday. We waited while they got the table set up, and they knew it was 4 adults, 4 kids. Menus weren't given until after we got the kids and everyone seated, to find out that they no longer offer brunch on Sundays. It's a new menu of pizza and pasta. By this time, kids are settled and hungry so we proceed to ask for a kids menu to order from, which they didn't have. We should have left then and there. The pizzas were small portions and lackluster. Two party members were never asked for their drink options.

This wasn’t our first time at Union but it was the first since they revamped the menu. Our server was awesome! Very polite, knowledgeable and attentive. The food was absolutely incredible. We started with the Carpaccio, which was full of flavour! I then had the Scampi and my gf had the Bolognese, both of which were delicious. I would highly recommend this place, again!
Great restaurant with great food and servers. The cook Eleasah and Conner are very friendly. the The new recipe green curry with mussels was very delicious. I’d come again and again.

Everything was good about the restaurant EXCEPT for the FOOD! Like cmon! I ordered the Avacado Toast as part of their brunch menu expecting a decent size brunch for the $20 price BUT I was seriously disappointed. I only got a SINGLE slice of bread with some avacado and cheese etc., definitely not worth the price! My friends ordered other plates and their portion sizes were reasonable for the same price but I was seriously mislead. Not happy, ruined by Sunday afternoon.
