We had an early dinner at Algarve Restaurant, Kitchener. The restaurant was hosting a private event. They welcomed us in the bar area. The regulars were there finishing up solving the problems of the world in Portuguese. ?We had:Pork Alentejan with Clams - pork, potatoes, peppers, onions and clams in a garlicky sauce (Very yummy!)Pork Cutlet Alentejan - pan fried pork chop with fries and vegetablesGrilled Squid - grilled squid with broccoli and roasted potatoes (Excellent!)Salt cod fritters - deep fried salt cod with potatoes (❤️Not on the menu but we requested the item and they we happy to oblige.❤️)The meals was home style and very tasty. A definite do over.

Great homestyle cooking.Simple menu, simple food, and GREAT prices!It has such a classy atmosphere but keeps prices just as cheap as any loud and trite chain.Bar on one side and classy restaurant on the other. The wall is quite sound proof so you can have a conversation and not even know a bar is 3 feet from you.I went with my mother and she enjoyed it but I would highly recommend this as a fantastic place to take a date.
