Their food and drinks are delicious and healthy. The only thing is, lately their takeout drinks have been incorrect, especially using the wrong milk. (~75% of the time.) This has led to us wasting money and having to deal with consequences of allergies several times now. So if you have an allergy, I recommend only ordering in person so you can emphasize it.

Local eatery. Good lunch menu options. I tried the fried chicken but didn’t lime it. It was too greasy and even though I ordered the Nashville hot, it had no heat at all.

My favourite coffee !!!! If you’re a coffee critic then you want Balzac’s coffee. I am obsessed with the almond croissants. So fresh so tasty and just delicious. I usually get a latte but today I had a dirty chai. The chai flavour is spicy yet sweet. Highly recommend. I love the vibes , coffee and the brand in general. Oh and you can collect the location mugs !!! Best thing 🖤☕️

i got the chai latte, friend got the gingerbread latte (decaf), and other friend got another latte i can’t remember the flavour. none of us liked our lattes😭 it was sad. the pastries were ok, nothing special. there are much much better cafes to go to in downtown kitchener where you’ll actually feel good about spending $10 on a coffee and pastry, and where the baristas are nice and welcoming and the pastries are actually fresh and unique. (lucero, matter of taste, whoopsie daisy- these are all way better cafes)

Staff are very welcoming and friendly. The manager there was especially gracious and a really nice guy with a great sense of humor. The coffee is very smooth and enjoyable. Although I did not try any of the food, their cookies and pastries are large in portion and look delicious! Sandwiches and salads seem a little steep in price. Nice cozy little Cafe

I rarely write reviews, but this experience was disappointing enough that it felt necessary. One of the female baristas announced orders so quietly and seemed so unaware of what she was doing that my friend accidentally received a smaller size than what she ordered. She chose not to say anything about receiving a smaller size than she paid for in order to avoid causing a scene.
Shortly after, a male barista came over to our table and aggressively yelled at us for picking up the “wrong” latte despite the fact that we were told that was the drink made for us. Not only did this upset and startle my friend but was uncalled for in front of many strangers. There were so many different ways to handle a misunderstanding than to outright be rude to otherwise peaceful customers. The way he spoke to us was completely unprofessional and unnecessary.
We used to enjoy coming here, but after this interaction, we won’t be returning. The coffee is average and the ambiance is nice, but customer service matters. Overall, I was deeply disappointed by how my friend was treated over something that was not her fault. I would only recommend this place if you don’t mind rude service and being randomly yelled at.

Love this place! Coffee is the best and it’s a nice place to sit and study for hours. They definitely need to turn up the heat, my friends and I are freezing in here all the time and we always leave to go somewhere warmer. It’d be nice to stay here for longer but it just gets too cold.

A really great community hub and they always have tasty seasonal drinks and baked goods. Cool building if you've never been. Staff are super efficient and always pleasant (especially given it's a stressful and fast-paced role). I find myself coming back here every time I'm in Kitchener.
