We had our staff dinner and Christmas party at Casa Rugantino... friendly and efficient staff serving great food, and a matching winelist.

One of our favourite lunch stops. It’s usually quite busy but service is still good. The veal sandwich is a great choice.

Very disappointed. Ive been here multiple times but the pasta was a big let down lately. Not sure if they got lazy or if staffing is an issue but the food was not nearly as good as it used to be. Home made sauce swapped for canned pasta sauce it seemed like.

We went for dinner last night and even though it was busy, the food and service were still great. For classic Italian food, there's nothing better in the area. Our server Tara was friendly and helpful. If you're looking for good Italian food, good atmosphere, and good service - this is the spot!
Loud, sun is blinding me, bugs on my plate, I will not be returning

Went for a birthday celebration that ended with the server ( who was told by the hostess and also followed up by me) with no dessert slice or candle or acknowledgment of Happy Birthday. As for the meal- very very average
And mostly tasteless. I ordered the cod- terrible accompaniment with the vegetables. No taste to the cod. Have to say the cod was fresh but tasted more like it was boiled with the vegetables. My friend ordered the veal rolled with prosciutto and cheese. The veal was tough and she had to send it back. It was nice of them that they did not charge her for it. The Caesar salad was delicious. Pasta was home made so that was pretty good. I would say this restaurant reminds me much more of a “American-Italian” restaurant. Not authentic Italian at all. Service was exactly like many reviews indicated - impersonal and lack of attention to detail. Disappointed-Unfortunately I won’t be back.

Came here for lunch with a colleague on a weekday and were seated on the patio. I had the eggplant parmigiana sandwich lunch special while my colleague went with a salad. The portions were decent and I enjoyed the eggplant. When it came to paying the bill it came to over $50 with tip and tax just for the 2 dishes and water so it is on the pricier side. Only saw one server working the lunch crowd so service was a little slow as well.

The food was very good, but the service was unfortunately lacking. We had to ask another server for cutlery and any service we did get was very rushed.

Pricey mediocre pasta that you will be waiting for 30 minutes
Inside is a little tight but this is about excellent food and service offerings! Outside patio works for us often.Wine offerings are good but mixed cocktails could use some work.

First time here and we decided to try more dishes. Atmosphere and service is good, but the food is just alright for the prices here… we definitely have our favourite Italian place and this one didn’t make the cut with the food for us. The portions are a bit small.

I recently visited this Italian restaurant and had a somewhat mixed experience. The highlight of the meal was definitely the pizza — it was a burrata-based creation with a crisp crust and high-quality ingredients. It was easily the standout dish of the meal.
Unfortunately, the pasta didn’t quite hit the mark. It was slightly undercooked and lacked the finesse you'd expect from a dedicated Italian kitchen. The texture made it difficult to enjoy.
The biggest letdown, however, was the tiramisu. It arrived half-frozen, clearly not properly thawed, which really took away from what should have been a smooth and indulgent finish to the meal. There was barely a spoonful of whipped cream on the side, and noticeably absent was the traditional mascarpone creaminess that defines a good tiramisu. I won't even call it a tiramisu.
