Great service and the restaurant was clean and inviting! We ordered two BBT (amazing deal at $3 each during the summer) and an 8 pc sushi roll. The sushi really exceeded our expectations! Fresh, tasty, balanced. The chicken here is also halal so will have to be back to try more menu items in the near future.

Staff needs some customer service training. If the staff thinks that the delivery driver is gonna steal customer’s food, then they should not give the food to him. Moreover, they need to respect the delivery driver’s personal space. Two cashiers handing over the food and then right away, asking him to confirm the order before he has even put the food in the thermal bag that has been requested by the restaurant, it is almost racist to assume that the delivery driver won’t be confirming the pick up order. Learn some basic manners and Canadian values thank you. Teach the staff that they need to be nice to everyone not just the customers because even the delivery driver is delivering the food to the restaurant’s customers so be nice to everybody.

I had a disappointing experience at this Edo Japan location today. I noticed an advertisement for the summer bubble tea and decided to stop by because I wanted to try it. I arrived at approximately 9:43 PM, and according to the website, the store closes at 10:00 PM.

When I entered, the two associates working near the front/cashier immediately told me the store was closed without taking the time to listen to my concern or explain the situation properly. This felt discouraging and disrespectful as a customer, especially because I arrived before the posted closing time. I also noticed that food was still being packed for takeout or pickup orders at the same time.

I understand that staff may have closing procedures, but if the store stops accepting walk-in orders before 10:00 PM, that should be clearly posted online and at the store. I was only looking to order one bubble tea, which should not have taken long, so being turned away before the posted closing time was frustrating.

In my opinion, the associates involved may need proper training on customer service, communication, and how to handle customers near closing time. It came across as if closing duties were being prioritized over helping a customer who arrived during posted business hours.

I hope the owner or manager reviews this situation and provides proper coaching to the team so that future customers are treated with more respect, patience, and professionalism.

I bought a big platter. The food was not freshly made and tasted old as if it had been in a fridge for a while. The only fresh ingredient was the sauce on the sushi. The tables were dirty. I ordered online and arrived at the time provided and had to wait about 20 minutes still. If you are looking for a traditional Japanese taste this is not the place for you.
