I’ve been enjoying Chef Thompson’s food for 2+ years, and to me, this restaurant is unparalleled. I’ve never had a bad or even mediocre meal — the quality is consistent. Everything is fresh, and the flavour is incredible, every time. I only wish I had discovered Wooden Boat sooner! I also appreciate the shared-use kitchen and local food partnerships models. This approach benefits small businesses and farmers, and it benefits customers, who get to experience new chefs, ingredients, and dishes. All around, a great place.

Best wood fire pizza in town! Always amazed by the favour combinations! Authentic dishes every Friday and Saturday that never disappoint! The charred jalapeño sauce is my favourite! Chef Thompson is so kind and welcoming! You cannot go wrong ordering from wooden boat!

Stone of the best food in the city. The choices are limited but if you like the sound of what is being offered on the day it will not disappoint, it will be delicious. His pizzas may well be the best pizza I've ever had. I'd put food quality on par or better than the other top restaurants in the city (red house, Bauer kitchen ect)

Honestly, my favourite in place in Kitchener. Chef makes such beautiful food. Quality ingredients and amazing flavours. You can almost taste the TLC he puts into it! I've ordered the Marguerita pizza, Pho burgers and fries chicken. All of it was amazing. I would share more pictures but I it all disappeared before I could. Portion has been eaten a bit

The perfect 40th birthday dinner. We had red curry. It felt like that scene in Disney's Ratatouille when the food critic takes a bite and is instantly transported back to his childhood in France, except for me it was my 20s in Bangkok. I hope to make this a regular experience. Also, HIGHLY appreciate the use of recyclable/compostable packaging!!! I recognise this is pricier than single use plastic stuff. You rock!
