I love the Black Walnut for the nice coffee, lovely baked goods and atmosphere. The only disappointment, every time, is that they only use disposable cups, cutlery and boxes. Nothing can be had on a plate, a mug or with real cutlery. I wish they were more environmentally conscious.
Black Walnut Café is a wonderful spot with excellent service and a welcoming atmosphere. The coconut latte is easily one of the best I’ve ever had rich, smooth, and perfectly balanced.
You can tell everything is made in-house, which is impressive given their wide range of offerings: quiches, sandwiches, cookies, muffins; they have it all. The ingredients are high quality, and the flavours are thoughtfully developed. Pink lemonades are often too sweet, but this one was perfectly balanced. The lemon square was nicely tart, the quiche had generous chunks of feta, and the muffin had that rich, buttery flavour you only get from homemade baked goods.
