Season'd Cafe at The Western Fair District

I am not sure if they changed the menu because there was no race, but I expected better. Based on a buffet dinner we had there once before. I was disappointed. There was nothing that stood out or made me want to have more. Everything was bland, the chicken was rubbery and dry. The vegetables were really over cooked, the beef lacked flavour. The salads were the best thing out of everything. The desserts tasted freezer burnt. We were originally sat in the furthest corner away from the buffet in a cold window corner, when they had tons of open tables. We asked to be moved and they acted like it was a big problem. It was still cold even after being moved, but better. Our waitress must have been on break for a long time we figured. She was fine but not very attentive. We ended up tipping her a big tip because we had a gift card, but only because I wouldn't bother saving the money on there for a second dinner. We won't be back.

Top of the fair was a top notch experience and i suggest it to anyone whos seeing a venue or just need a night out!

Really great sandwiches, healthy choices, good ingredients. Live music, and the loveliest staff too. All around great place for a weekend morning!

I just wanna say special thanks to our server Nathalie. We had 7 people in our group. 1 had a severe milk allergy. Nathalie made sure what he could eat. She checked with the chef twice. She also was there every second we needed something. As busy as it was. Nathalie was amazing. The food was incredible as well. Most of our group it was their fist time at the top of the fair. They all want to come back. I just hope next time we have Nathalie as our server. Thanks.

It was my book club Christmas get together. We all thoroughly enjoyed ourselves and hope to do it again. The lady who looked after our table was Nicky I believe. She was very good and was right there checking on us.

Excellent food but would have liked a plain garden salad (allergies) as one of the choices. Very quick to replenish items. Shania (server) was great! Attentive without being intrusive. The noise level was to be expected - it's the races!!!!

We had a lovely time. It was our belated holiday party. Sadly due to weather the live racing was cancelled but they graciously gave us all free admission to Taste Ex. Buffet was very good. Too much dill in items for some of us lol. We had a fun time. Thank you

The chicken, beef and pasta were all very tasty.......but not at all hot. Food chafing servers need to be much hotter to keep food warmer. 2 bites into dinner and everything was stone cold. The ciabatta buns were hard as bullets and they did change them to a softer bun when we complained. Not anywhere worth the $45.00 plus tax and tip price tag. Fortunately the races were very fun to watch and kept us entertained so as to overcome the poor presentation of food.

We had a great night. The buffet was very good. The only complaint I heard from others was about the set up. Otherwise, our server was amazing and a night at the races is always a good time. 

Booking our outing was flawless. Our experience at top of the fair was overall good. The meal and service was excellent, although a little pricey still good value and fun atmosphere. Only real complaint, found the temperature a little cool and No heat in the women's bathroom. Great evening.

Staff were delightful, service was great. Food was fair and although it was busy the staff were struggling to keep dishes filled. Only one meat station meant that lines were long and areas around the buffer were very congested. It just didn't live up to Top Of The fair standards.

We thought the menu was going to have fish and Caesar salad according to the menu online we didn't know it was going to be Christmas dinner no info on that. Everything in the buffet was cold the only thing that wasn't cold was the gravy.

We were a group of 6, most of whom had never attended horse racing before. We were surprised by how much we enjoyed watching the racing, as well as doing some betting with the included vouchers. The buffet food was amazing, in quality and variety. We all loved the food and would recommend to family and friends. All the servers were excellent as well. We would definitely do this again.

We were a party of 9. The food buffet was very good. The food was hot and tasty. The dessert table was very nice. Lots of choices and excellent quality. We used the vouchers first for betting, then moved on to putting a few bucks on each race. It was a vey pleasant evening. Our server was attentive and great at her job.

It was an enjoyable night with my brothers and sisters . It was a standard tradition when our parents were alive . We went for 20 yrs on Boxing Day . It's a great memory and last night didn't disappoint Sincerely Karen
