decent spot for dessert if you’re craving asian style desserts. i got the mango sago pearl delight (S8) and the DIY shaved ice (bubble tea base, taro + sweet potato delight, coconut jelly, vanilla ice cream). the mango delight i feel like has downgraded a bit since couple years ago, back then it used to be much better and the portion sizes have gone down a lot. the bubble tea base is not very realistic, i think it has a deeper tea flavour but the evaporated milk they give on the side helps a bit. the customer service was quite slow, food took a long time to come and the servers never really came to ask if everything is good, so def use the buttons to call them over if you need anything. overall good place but it’s pretty average

The food is amazing, especially the original egg waffle. It’s very buttery I’d say, the egg waffle and ice cream fit perfectly together. The taiwanese style chicken is super good, it’s perfectly crispy and the chicken itself is decently juicy. The cheese fries are good, they kind of taste like Costco fries but better and with some cheese powder. The cheese powder is a little sweet but it’s perfect. The bingsu is really good, my favourite one is the strawberry one. Their strawberries aren’t sour but not really sweet, and the vanilla ice cream is super creamy and pairs well with the strawberry. It also comes with milk with some strawberry purée at the bottom to pour on top. The place is really nice and clean, I really like the colour combinations throughout the restaurant, it’s very aesthetically pleasing. The workers are very nice and overall it’s a 5 star rating from me.

After my daughter’s birthday dinner we decided to go for dessert somewhere else. She suggested Sugar Marmalade since it was close to her house. The location had plenty of parking and tables available when we arrived at 7pm. We ordered 4 items, two of the presentation were really off, or not really appetizing when they arrived. Everything took a long time to arrive one item at a time, good thing we were not in a rush. All the items tasted fine, nothing spectacular about the food we ordered. Will we return? Maybe to try the dinner items.

The food is pretty good for the most part, which is why it’s especially disappointing how bad the service is. Ordered a cold black sticky rice with taro and pearl delight but the pearl delight was not chewy as it should be. We simply asked for a new batch of chewy pearl delight as we came specifically for this dessert. We were informed that the pearls were made some 12 hours ago and that the only way to make it chewy was to heat up the whole dessert (ordered cold). We refused and they refunded the order and dumped out the dessert in front of us.
We had the same issue before where they simply gave us a new batch of heated pearl delight. If all you needed to do to make pearl delight chewy was to heat it up, why wasn’t it done in the first place? The pearl delight tasted like it had been refrigerated overnight.

We went there last week during the weekend and we all love the place! Sweet cozy and lots of different choices! We ordered a lot of different food, some are great others just okay! My favourite was the taro drink!
If you want a lot of different sweet choices, this is the place to go!
