After living in this area for 13 years, I decided to try out this restaurant for the very first time today. I was having a really rough day - my mind was heavy and didn’t feel like cooking. As I waited for my shawarma, I noticed all of the loyal customers coming in by the minute and greeting the team with so much warmth. It made me feel comfortable telling the cashier that it was my first time stopping by. He said are you serious?! Then he gave me a small cup of lentil soup to try.
I sat in my car and cried for about 15 minutes because this cup of soup meant SO much to me. It was the hug that I needed today, and the reassurance that everything will be okay.
So thank you for brightening my day, and thank you for making such delicious food. I will be back soon.

Really disappointed in this restaurant. The first time I visited with my husband and he saw a sign on the front of the restaurant offering a deal for a wrap with fries and a drink. When he went in and ordered the cashier told him that deal was for the wrap only, despite what the sign advertised. The wraps weren’t very good - chicken was dry and fat too much sauce.
Today I decided to pick up food from Sultan because I wanted to give it another try. It had decent reviews and I thought the previous experience was a one-off. I ordered a family platter with a side salad and fries. I thought the amount charged was too much based on what I calculated in my head but I didn’t mention it because I was with my young son and was a bit distracted. When I got home I realized they had charged $44.99 for the family platter despite the sign in the restaurant advertising it for $39.99. The ordering area itself is extremely cramped with crates of pop and wraps on the floor. There is no button to open the doors for people with a physical handicap or strollers. There was a long wait for the food but it was dinner time so to be somewhat expected. Unfortunately, the chicken was very dry and the salad was quite small for the price. It definitely wasn’t worth the $70+ paid.
I really wanted to like this place since it is close to my home and my family enjoys shawarma but I am really underwhelmed and frustrated with the misleading prices.
TL;DR: be sure to verify the prices before ordering

I used to be a regular here, but my last few visits have been nothing short of disappointing. I don’t know what changed, but the service has become really inconsistent. Every time I order the same thing and ask for hot sauce on the side, they used to give it at no extra cost. Then out of nowhere, they started charging $2 for a tiny container of hot sauce. Next time I went, they didn’t charge again. Make it make sense.
I let that slide, but what really pushed me over the edge was when I asked for hummus on my sandwich and they said it’s now an extra $1. For what? A spoon of hummus? That’s ridiculous. No other shawarma spot in London charges extra for basic toppings like that. Twice now I’ve walked out and cancelled my order because of these random charges and the way they handle things.
There are plenty of other places in the city that treat their customers better. They might think they’re busy enough to not care about losing someone, but that attitude is exactly why I’ll never come back. The guy at the counter didn’t even try to understand, just brushed it off like it didn’t matter. Well, it does. Not coming back.

I’m honestly very disappointed with my recent experience. Yesterday I ordered a chicken shawarma meal from this place, which used to be my favorite shawarma spot. However, when I got home, I realized they had given me beef shawarma instead.
To make things worse, I found a hair in my food, and the cook preparing the shawarma was not wearing a hairnet, which is a serious hygiene issue. On top of that, the beef shawarma I received was so greasy that oil was literally dripping out of it, making it very unpleasant to eat.
This was truly upsetting because I always trusted this place for both quality and cleanliness, and I never expected something like this to happen here. I hope the management takes these issues seriously, because I’d like to keep supporting them but food safety, proper hygiene, and accurate orders should always come first.
Great Shawarma and customer service!

Top-of-the-line shawarma place and is considered by many to be the best in town. Forget Shelby's or Tahini's. This place is superior, with real authentic Syrian shawarma with prices that aren't expensive. Personally, I've tried a lot of things there; the chicken shawarma is their specialty, but their beef is good, their fries are very tasty as they are seasoned very nicely, and their zinger wrap is delicious. Also, their restaurant is very clean, and they prepare the food in front of you where you can see everything they do, which is very handy, as some restaurants aren't as clean and trustworthy. I highly recommend this place.
