Sat for an hour and was told our food was on the way - proceeded to wait an hour only to be told our order was never put in. We left at noon without having had any breakfast and had arrived and ordered at 10:30am... stellar service.

I’m usually not a fan of open kitchens because, well, sometimes you just don’t want to know how messy a commercial kitchen can get. Not so here. When they aren’t cooking/serving they’re cleaning and tidying.
We got bacon and eggs. Three eggs, four strips of bacon, a generous helping of home fries and two slices of thick-sliced toast. Make sure you’re hungry because it’s a lot of food. Topped all that off with a glass of blueberry lemonade (Summer Drink so get it while you can). Thoroughly enjoyed our meal, thank you!

This restaurant is a joke—they only care about making money and don't give a damn about customers. They're so understaffed that I had to wait 30 minutes just to get served. I decided to try again by ordering through Uber Eats, and it was an absolute disaster. My order was canceled three times because an elderly Asian woman, who seemed to be a supervisor, was telling everyone to cancel orders since they couldn't be bothered to prepare it. This place is a complete mess and a waste of time. Avoid at all costs and don't give them your money—they clearly don't care about their customers.

Really great breakfast! The patio is beautiful! It was a great experience overall. The staff are lovely!
My Dad and I ordered their classic burger, and it was the worst burger I've ever eaten in my life. The burger itself was 2 inches thick, overcooked, dry, and totally unseasoned--it tasted like plain raw ground beef. The home fries were cold and tasted funny, and the coleslaw was gross. We stopped about halfway through our burgers and asked for the bill. Our server did ask what was wrong, but when we told her, she never offered any compensation. So that's the last time we ever go there. Totally disgusting.
Note: in the response to my review the owner says, "It is customary at Sunset Grill that our servers offer an apology and another meal right away or to remove the meal from your bill, if you had an issue with your food." This did not happen in our case. We were expected to pay full price for our meal, and we did. If it is "customary" to offer compensation for poor experiences, then why was none offered? It isn't a company policy if it's only applied selectively or in text.
