I was there recently with two other girlfriends. We are all turning 65 this year. The ambience, food and service were lovely. Looking forward to returning. Even toured the museum as an added bonus.

We were celebrating personal accomplishments of our daughter and wanted a quiet, relaxed evening with good food, great service and a pleasant ambiance and The River Room met and exceeded everything. We each choose a different entrée from the menu. There were lots of options to suit individual taste and the outcome was beyond delicious. The wine list was not extensive but the chardonnay I ordered was perfect. The service was relaxed but not tardy, helpful and professional. The room was calm and the view lovely. We will definitely book this restaurant again! Thank you for a most delightful evening.

Celebration with my wife and daughter. The place we wanted had closed but we wanted something at a higher level. The River Room more than filled the bill. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!! Nice room, nice atmosphere, no televisions, a place you can actually talk to someone. The menu is intriguing, lots to pick from. We each had something different. They were all exceptional. The service was above and beyond! Completely satisfied!

Exquisite food and impeccable service make this one of our favourite places to go. Thank you “The River Room” for helping celebrate our Mother’s 88th birthday.

Go for the incredible menu and the view!! 5 star menu! Will consider the chef for catering events in future. I give the 4 star rating simply because the washroom wash not clean, and the room was being set-up for an event the next day while guests were still dining. This location is unfortunately not accessible, no wheel chair accessibility after the museum closes, and the exterior stairs offer an extensive walk for anyone with mobility issues. NOT THE RESTAURANTS FAULT: The museum could improve the outside appearance of the restaurant by painting and repairing the rusty, wobbly stairs, and clean the windows to provide a better view of the Thames from the restaurant.

We made online reservations 2 weeks in advance requesting a window seat. We arrived early and told to wait 20 minutes. When we returned, we were seated at a table far from the window, although several tables by the window were available. Additionally, staff told us, we were 'late'. Definitely didn't feel welcome. Considering we were long time patrons of this restaurant, it was quite disappointing.

Their brunch is lovely and includes a mimosa or glass of wine or beer, plus coffee or tea and dessert. I can't imagine anyone leaving hungry, there were also pastries on the table. Our server was very welcoming. The restroom was in quite a state after the brunch rush but otherwise it seemed like a great option for a special occasion. My eggs benedict was delicious and the carrot cake was beautifully spiced! Next time I'll wander the museum after the meal and make an afternoon of it.

The restaurant is located inside the museum. The side entrance is up two flights of metal stairs on the south side of the building. Once inside the place is great, lots of windows overlooking the river and the bridges. Great evening atmosphere. The food is really good. I had the shrimp to start, burger as the main and the apple crumble for dessert. All were above my expectations. The staff are very friendly and accommodating. Thank you for the great evening. Cheers.

The reason I did not give this 5 stars is because my lobster main dish only came with one small tail and was $54. It seemed skimpy at the time, and after rechecking the menu later at home I realized it’s supposed to come with two. What I had was cooked well, but was overwhelmed by a plate filled with Brussels sprouts and potatoes. My companions meal was very good and service was good as well. I’ll probably go back but will not order the lobster.

Unique restaurant located in the back of Museum London. We really enjoyed dining at the River Room. The food was excellent and service top notch. From start to finish everything was perfect.

First night back on a patio and we were NOT disappointed! Service was above and beyond, timing was perfect. Portion size was great. Menu has great variety. Will be back again and again! Special shout out to the Steak Tartare and the Fried Mozzarella who were the true stars of this meal, followed closely by the Strawberry Pavlova which I cannot live without.
