My husband and I just stopped into Zaatarz to grab something for lunch - we each grabbed a manakeesh - my husband got beef and cheese and I got zaatar. The food came out quick, hot and delicious. The price is also very reasonable. I would honestly highly recommend hitting this place up if you need something tasty and inexpensive! The girl behind the counter was lovely too.

Was in the neighbourhood and decided to pop in. The “open” sign was not on but it was open. Had the cheese and sujuk manakeesh. It was quite delicious but a bit too greasy. I’m looking forward to returning and trying more items.

They make you fetch your own tea and your option is dirty glasses. AC is too low. It’s hot inside. Olive oil on counters in sun probably rancid. Cleaning stuff stored in bathroom. Ewww

They expect you to make your own tea? The tea should be free if they expect you to make your own tea and stuff that’s lazy for real.

The young woman at the counter was blatantly rude, more interested in her phone than acknowledging customers walking in. The lack of basic courtesy and professionalism was unacceptable. I do not recommend this place--- save your time and money...

I often dont check my reciept as prices are listed. I was charged for an extra spice on my zataar pie - almost a dollar . I was charger for a few peices of pita also almost a dollar. A whole bag of pita is
2.00 With that being said ive been coming here for years and never looked at my reciept until today. I wont be returning.

I called to make a pickup order for lunch. Was told to hold 1 sec. I waited 8 mins before I started to drive the establishment; I was not nearby. I stayed on hold and I was able to reach the store. Still no one answered and I was on hold. I walked up to an empty order area with a few people in the store. Immediately I was greeted. I asked to make an order. The employee proceeded to look around and fumble around the cash area completely ignoring me. Finally she looks at me and says “I don’t see your order” I explained - “ I am making an order” meanwhile I was still on hold.
I let her know that she can hang up the phone now since I don’t need to be on hold.
Terrible service and customer appreciation. This place used to be really good.

The staff work without gloves, and the food was spoiled the fatteh plate I ordered smelled and tasted rotten. When I raised the issue politely, the cashier was rude, refused to refund, and even tasted the food with her bare hand in front of me.
Accusing customers of wanting free food instead of admitting fault is beyond unprofessional.
This was my first and last visit. Cleanliness, respect, and food safety should come first clearly, they don’t here

What a bad service, first of all my first and last time going to Zaatarz, what a bad quality of food servicing old food to customers and you can clearly tell it’s old and cold I know my tests and when I went up to tell the cashier she said no it’s fine and She won’t give anything else or a refund, what was worse is she tested the fattieh plate with her hands what a bacteria ( no gloves, no spoon ) sorry but that’s really disgusting and health unit need to get involved in this !!! This is not business you need to learn what business is then make a business, this is to the owner you should know who you are hiring as well as check your cameras at the end of day !!

Very bad service!
The staff were not even wearing gloves while working. I ordered a fattieh plate, the tasted and smelled spoiled it was clearly old.
I was very polite when I mentioned the issue, but the cashier was extremely rude and disrespectful. She got upset when I said the food was spoiled and told me they wouldn’t refund me or offer anything else because in her opinion, there was nothing wrong.
She even said that I probably just wanted something for free!
What’s worse, she tasted the food with her bare hand right in front of me, without even using a spoon.
This shows a shocking level of carelessness and lack of hygiene.
Honestly, I don’t want anything from a place that serves spoiled food and handles it this way. It’s not about the $8 — it’s about the quality, cleanliness, and the way you treat customers.
This was my first and definitely my last visit until you learn to respect people and serve fresh, clean food.
