Almost forgot about this little gem when we were out for breakfast. We were a bit late for breakfast so had lunch early. Delicious quiche and homemade soup or a very fresh salad. We followed with one of the lightest most delicious lemon pies ever cooked. It’s worth the trip, trust me. They have quite a few fresh baked muffins and squares too for dessert. It is run by senior volunteers for charity, they are very friendly and the place is spotless. Maybe a little difficult to access in a wheelchair but I did notice one person in a wheelchair and she was help by companions and staff. Probably not good for small children as it’s a small place so there’s no running around or high chairs that I saw. $38 tax in for two for lunch with dessert is hard to beat. Not licensed

Always our first choice for a meal when visiting Manotick. Delicious food, reasonable prices, wonderful, friendly staff and warm, quaint surroundings. Yesterday we had our dog with us, so sat outside. The ladies came out often to check that we had everything we needed and even brought out a bowl of water for our husky. If you haven't tried this place, it's worth a visit; you won't be disappointed.

March 2023A lovely place to go to which is in an old quaint home very close to Watson's Mill. Friendly staff, and good food. A daily lunch special, and breakfast is served all day on the weekends. Large scones, and muffins. Delicious homemade pies are a nice treat. Don't forget to try their signature (mile high) lemon meringue pie. You won't be disappointed! This pie needs to be ordered in advance for takeout. Tea is served in bone china teacups and tastes so much better this way than in a mug. Interesting pieces of antique furniture to view, and various things to peruse in the rooms of this house. Run mainly by volunteers who take pride in being a part of this gem in Manotick. Our last outing was for St.Patrick's Day. Broccoli soup, Irish Stew, and Irish Soda bread. So many special details made for today: the staff were wearing green, the menu board was written in green for the specials of the day, the rooms were decorated, and our soup was served in green bowls. There is an upcoming special on April 6, 2023 for Easter.Try it, and you may like it as much as my family did and continues to!
