Really great anime-themed cafe/restaurant, hidden gem with amazing torched sushi! Very limited seating FYI but great for takeout or later in the evening - rivals other known torched sushi spots on quality at a better price point. Would be super popular if located in the heart of downtown Toronto
We went as a party of 5 to celebrate dinner with friends. We ordered the Maria Wall and fully cooked Mozushi Platters. The food was fresh and portion sizes were generous. It is a family run restaurant and I highly recommend it.

10/10. Tasty food and relaxing atmosphere.
Honestly the food is a bit on the pricey side for me to be a consistent customer.
I like the anime diner experience concept, and you earn points for your orders!. Not sure if they serve coffee, but if they do then it would be a nice touch.
I respect the hustle.

Anime fans this one’s for you! Walking into Cafe Mozaiko felt like being transported straight into another world: shelves lined with figures, walls covered in posters and doodles, and episodes playing in the background to set the scene. It’s part café, part anime haven, and 100% the spot for Markham’s best aburi sushi.
The Zen Mango Demon Slayer Drink was light and fruity, like a refreshing power-up potion, while the Strawberry Jasmine Iced Tea had the perfect floral-fruity balance with chewy strawberry jelly that kept each sip fun.
Then came the feast. The Mozushi Platter was a level-up in flavour: buttery aburi salmon and shrimp, savoury tofu pocket sushi, and spicy rolls that packed just the right punch. The Sushi Tray showcased their aburi mastery — smoky, melty, and unforgettable. But the true boss battle winner? The Demon Onigiri. Loaded with shrimp, tuna, and salmon, saucy and rich, it was the kind of bite that makes you close your eyes and cheer internally like you just beat the final boss.
Pair all of that with the warmest, friendliest staff, and Cafe Mozaiko provides incredible food and the full anime experience that hits you right in the feels.

The food is relatively cheap and there’s a lot of variety!
If you like several tiny bones in your sushi rice, then please eat here.
I ordered here on Sunday sept 7 around 6pm for the 32 piece rumbling tray. I’m not sure if the chef that made the eel was next to a pile of fish bones, however EVERY SINGLE PIECE of eel sushi had fish bones all over and embedded in the rice and I had choked on it. I’m not talking one piece of fish bone, there was at least 3-5 pieces of bone in every piece. I had to throw them out. Adding a picture of one of them if you look closely because the bones were fully embedded in the rice that it made it inedible essentially. I’m not sure their working conditions on why it was in every single piece, I can understand maybe a one off piece but this is every single piece and several pieces of bone too.
I’m disgusted and completely turned off and will never order here again

Quartet that sings in harmony, all bringing a slightly different tone while sharing a common aburi theme. The shrimp, salmon, tuna, and unagi are all torched to bring out their inherent savory aromas, along with a subtle smokiness and a rich mayo topping. The marinated sushi rice ties each bite altogether with a slight chewy mouthfeel, pleasant sweetness and a refreshing tang
Came here for lunch on a weekday. Food came relatively fast and no line. This place is really good value!
[8.3/10] Rumbling Set
- amazing price for value, especially since it's mostly torched sushi
- rice was a little loose, some pieces fell apart while picking up
- huge pieces 🔥
