We ordered a chilled hot chocolate milk shake for my son and he experienced food poisoning the next day - fever, vomit, diarrhea. He felt weak and mild diarrhea the second day as well. My daughter had a few sips and also experienced fever and mild diarrhea and was relatively fine the second day. I didn’t drink any and I was fine. Something bad in that milkshake! The funnel cake we ordered was ok so I gave 2 stars on the food instead of one. Service was a bit inefficient. I want to like the place but this food poisoning experience really made us scared to go back.

The banana banoffee brûlée crepe was amazing. Sweet and salty feels. Perfect for sharing. Not too high in calories compared to all the other treats on the menu.

Absolutely massive menu. Had the white chocolate waffle and it was delicious. If you're a sweets fan and love white chocolate give it a try! The place was very clean and the service was great.

Disappointing Uber Eats Order, Melted Ice Cream!
I placed an Uber Eats order from DSpot Markham (A14, 3000 Hwy 7, Markham, ON L3R 6E1), and I was extremely disappointed with what I received. The two “ice creams” looked nothing like ice cream. They were completely melted and resembled milkshakes. I have attached a photo to show exactly what arrived.
While I understand soft serve can melt quickly, DSpot has a responsibility to ensure items are packaged and preserved properly for delivery. Many restaurants take proactive steps such as:
• Pre-freezing soft serve to a colder-than-normal temperature
• Using insulated or dry ice packaging for temperature-sensitive items
• Not listing extremely meltable items if they cannot be delivered intact
This clearly was not done. If DSpot cannot deliver soft serve in proper condition, it should remove the item from their Uber Eats menu. Selling a product that arrives unusable and unrecognizable is misleading and unfair to consumers.
Legal Reference:
Under Ontario’s Consumer Protection Act, 2002, this situation may fall under:
• Section 14 – Misrepresentation: Advertising a product and delivering something materially different (a melted mess instead of ice cream) could be considered a false representation
• Section 18 – Unfair Practices: Supplying goods that are not of reasonably acceptable quality may constitute an unfair practice
Action Requested:
I expect DSpot to resolve this matter within 48 hours. This could mean a refund and improved handling of future orders. If this issue is not addressed, I will proceed with filing complaints with the Better Business Bureau (BBB), the Competition Bureau of Canada, and other relevant agencies.
This level of service is unacceptable, and I hope DSpot takes accountability and makes the necessary changes.

Restaurantji Recommends
We ordered a thank you berry much crepe and Cookie Monster waffle… the ice cream was too sweet and had a highly artificial flavour and melted very quickly for some reason, which made everything feel gross. The crepe and waffle itself was okay but the ice cream ruined the experience… not worth $22 each. The service was good but the atmosphere felt very cheap with an aquarium blue colour scheme and the restaurant being a sit down restaurant felt like a mismatch in atmosphere. My glass of water was also foggy and felt dirty. The menu was also extremely large and made us overstimulated and made it difficult to decide. Overall disappointed and will not be coming back.

Went to the Kanata location and it was terrible. The service was not knowledgeable, slow and the server punched the order incorrectly. My friend tried to order mint tea but was told all the loose leaf teas were mixed together in one blend. The food quality was poor and very overpriced - for example, stale cheesecake sitting in a soup of coulis. Extremely disappointing. Will not return.
Pay all your service folks money you owe.
We went to the Oshawa location on Feb 14 for lunch and happened to be the only people seated. We had to ask for: - cutlery 2x (meal and dessert) - napkins - water - removal of dirty dishes - and the big issue, my samosa burger came with a still frozen samosa that wasn’t noticed until half way through the burger (because the patty and such are bigger than the samosa) All I was offer was a new samosa, but the burger would have been cold and I was put off by then. - the fries, less than a handful given, were at least good. Basically, service was awful and there is no reason to be served frozen food.
Order takeout just one piece red velvet cake with ice cream did not get ice cream. Cake was very dry and too sweet
