One of my favs cafe in Markham. My go to for getting work done. The staff are sooo friendly and cute. I love the “melting” it’s my fav. Tried the black sesame latte and I’m not the biggest fan but that’s my fault bc i don’t even like black sesame that much idk why I got it LOL. Good quality coffee

Dopapen Coffee in Markham is such a beautiful and thoughtfully designed cafe. It’s located inside a flower shop, which instantly gives the space a calm, cozy, and aesthetic vibe. The setup is minimal, clean, and very welcoming. A perfect place to sit down, work, or study for a while.

The barista (Lux) was extremely courteous and friendly, which made the experience even better. You’re greeted warmly, and they are happy to explain the menu and help with recommendations.

For drinks, I tried the iced Osmanthus Matcha Oat Latte, which was light, floral, and refreshing. A really unique and well-balanced drink. I also had their hot Sesame Kick special coffee, and it was warm, nutty, and comforting, with a flavor profile that stands out from regular cafe offerings.

Overall, Dopapen Coffee is a great spot if you enjoy unique drinks, a peaceful environment, and beautifully designed spaces. They also have another location in Greektown, which is great to know. Highly recommend checking this place out if you’re in Markham or nearby.

Really magical place. We really were not expecting the cozy vibe and people just sitting around painting or chatting. Very skilled baristas, interesting mixtures, great coffee beans.

Their osmanthus americano fizz is my oxygen on Christmas Day! That’s amazing, it brightens my day! That’s not the first time I visit this cafe, dog friendly, helpful barista, everything keeps me coming back again and again

Have been here a few times and the coffee is phenomenal. Great hidden gem for amazing beans and to work from (they have power bars and seating!!) easy street parking right in front and along the side. Also have a selection of natural wines when they do drinks on Friday and Saturday nights!

💜📍 • Had such a great experience at this dog-friendly cafe, Dopapen! When we walked in there was flowers and art all around and since it was the afternoon it wasn’t packed.

This cafe can get busy and for a good reason.

The barista was so friendly and when we mentioned we may grab snacks, she brought us some of her own to share. So sweet and thoughtful.

The drinks were original and tasted great as well. So thankful that oat milk is available as well for anyone that has dairy allergies.

Quant and friendly cafe with lots of style and personality. Excellent place to study/work with decent amount of space. It does get busy after 3pm, so try to arrive early for seating.

We got matcha and a flat white. The flat white was great but the matcha was even better! They use very high quality matcha for your drink and it's totally worth it.

The vibe inside is great! So much personality and the playlist was so relaxing.

Balance, sweet. Good coffee. If possible using a smaller cup for the regular coffee may be better.

I used to work nearby (Warden & Highway 7) and once I learned there was a specialty coffee nearby I made the effort to walk here each lunch I was in the office.

I can say briefly, the coffee is excellent and this is emphasized by the fact they rotate out espresso brews regularly and offer diverse and flavourful pour over service. I did not know there were shops in Toronto that sold Tim Wendelboe (Norway) or Manhattan Coffee Roasters (The Netherlands) or Coffee Collective (Denmark) and many many more.

The baristas are friendly and helpful and know what they are doing. Any request for adjustments to the brew is easily done if you ask politely, in my case, adding very little dairy/milk to certain drinks.

On top of that the shop also offers some small batch wines and doubles as a flower shop.

It's a shame I no longer work in the area but I will say I will be making the trip out there to enjoy the coffee and get more beans for my home brewing that I'd otherwise need to order online and at further cost. Highly recommended.
