We just had their ice cream truck out to an employee appreciation event yesterday afternoon on a hot spring day. They arrived a few minutes early and stayed for the promised amount of time . VERY disappointed! I booked the Great Canadian Food Truck and the ice cream truck for a school event on September 25th, 2025. We had communicated 2 days before the event through email. The day of the event arrives and NOTHING. No trucks show up, no one would answer the phone, no one would return emails or text messages. So well over 100 people were left without any food that evening. It was both embarrassing and extremely disappointing. To this day I have sent multiple emails and still zero communication. I will not be recommending or using this company ever again 😡

Totally disappointed! We booked the Great Canadian Food Truck to cater a 75th Birthday party for Aug.2,2025. Emails. texts and telephone conversations were had. They were to arrive at 2:00 but did not show up. There were 65 people attending including seniors, and children who were expecting eat. When we finally heard from them they said that they had the wrong date. We were left scrambling to find food. They texted which did not come through until later that they would arrange food to be delivered- we called the number frequently from 2: 50 to 6:00 pm with no pick up and going straight to voice mail . We had the pleasure of working with Great Canadian Food Truck for an event, and I can’t say enough good things about them! From the start, we dealt directly with Mike, who was an absolute professional and made sure everything went smoothly.
They showed up on time and had everything ready to go—no stress, no issues. The food was incredible, with a great variety of delicious burgers, hot dogs, fries, and chicken fingers. The crowd also loved the ice cream truck, which was the perfect touch for a sweet treat on a hot day!
The customer service was top-notch; Mike and his team were friendly, efficient, and really made sure everyone was happy. Overall, it was a fantastic experience, and I would highly recommend them for any event. Great food, great service, and great people!

I recently booked the ice cream truck affiliated with this company for my husband’s birthday party with 140+ guests. Based on the recommendation of my neighbour, who is friends with Mike the owner, I went ahead and booked the ice cream truck. Mike was initially easy to get hold of but when I went to confirm everything for the second time the week before (date, time, address, #ppl, price) I had to chase him down for 4 days but finally reached him. He assured me that all was well, not to worry, they would absolutely be there!
After dinner, my husband thanked everyone for coming and announced that a fun dessert was to follow in 15 minutes – an ice cream truck! Imagine our disappointment and embarrassment when they NEVER SHOWED UP!
Mike did not answer my calls or text messages and never contacted me with an explanation. My son was subsequently able to tie his phone number to this food truck and, low and behold, we discovered several complaints on Google reviews and Facebook. It appears they did not show up at various events - a wedding, festivals, etc. I wish I had seen those beforehand!
At the end of the day, it is clear that Mike does not care one bit about his cruel behaviour and the negative impact he has had on so many people and their special events.
Do yourself a favour and stay away!

We recently hired Mike to do late night food at our wedding. After him taking a month to reply to emails in order to confirm I was hesitant to book with him. However, my fiance spoke to him over the phone and said he sounded nice, if a bit disorganized, so we went ahead and booked him. The week of our wedding, my fiance called to confirm details with him, like timing and our address. The day of my wedding I didn't have my phone on me, but my wedding coordinators had the contact info for our vendors. We realized at 8:30pm (when he was set to arrive at 8) that there was a problem. He never arrives, even when my coordinators called him. I checked my phone at the end of the night to find a text on the day of asking for the address, and then another text at 8 at night, asking for the address. Something that I heard my fiance confirm and spell out over the phone multiple times for him. Unfortunately, I can't even say I was that surprised by him being a no show, considering how disorganized the entire process was.
