Haonan eat it! It’s really delicious!
It tastes like a novice who randomly found a recipe on social media and then made it for the first time.
It doesn’t blend well...the taste of shellfish

Nice restaurant. Friendly and polite service.
Food, not bad. Utensils, presentation quite well.
Quite a way to crush white sesame seeds and add to rice. May be not toasted, so not much taste.
In general, not bad at all, especially service.

The venue was gorgeous, and the fishs were as delicious as they were fresh. I wasn't a huge fan of the tartare, but I enjoyed everything else. Would definitely recommend a try if you like seafood or are looking for a cute date spot

My wife and I had an hour before our meeting, and we decided to eat at Hana Don. We were pleasantly surprised with welcoming warm smiles followed by one of the best hot green tea I have had, and food was just too good. Well priced!
Surely recommend 👌🏽

I visited HANADON today and tried the Onsen Beef Tongue Rice along with two Cheese Oysters recommended by the staff. Unfortunately, the experience was quite disappointing.
Starting with the Cheese Oysters, while the oysters themselves were fresh, the amount of cheese was overwhelming, making the flavor feel cheap. That said, at $9 for two, the price is reasonable.
However, the real letdown was the Onsen Beef Tongue Rice. The beef tongue was so tough and overcooked that it was almost inedible. I ended up leaving most of the tongue uneaten and only finished the rice. I’ve never had beef tongue this hard at any restaurant before.
On a positive note, the service and ambiance were decent, and the prices are quite affordable. However, the quality and taste of the food are the most important aspects of any restaurant, and this time, it fell short. The beef tongue especially needs significant improvement to meet expectations.

The restaurant is clean, the staff is efficient and polite.
The food is honestly a little more expensive than it's worth for the quality and quantity. Most main dishes start at 25+

The chazuke bowl was the equivalent of a rice bowl and for $30 the amount of seafood ontop was no where close to worth it. Tempura also tasted like ayce sushi quality. Not worth it. Save your money .

First time trying this restaurant even though it's been around for a long time. The food here was good, but can be very expensive depending on what you order. We got the bara don and the large premium Fuji don. It was a nice treat but quite pricey.
I think the interior is enough to try this restaurant out. The decor inside is beautiful.

we ordered the cheese minced steak rice, seafood rice, and eel rice. The eel rice was the best, although the egg was a bit too sugary for my taste. The steak became a bit heavy after a while, but the refreshing pickled yuzu on top helped cut through the richness, which was a nice touch. The seafood rice was pretty standard and didn’t stand out.
For appetizers, the cheese-baked scallops had a nice texture but were slightly on the rich side. The lemon strawberry cheesecake was underwhelming—it lacked both the tartness of lemon and the sweetness of strawberry, leaving it rather bland.
We also tried the Japanese gyoza, which my daughter chose, but I didn’t find them to my taste. They definitely didn’t compare to traditional Chinese pan-fried dumplings.

Waited for 30 mins for a seat another 20 mins for the waitress to get our orders. Food came 20 mins later... and my friend waited another 10 to get his food, we ordered at the same time. They apologized and gave us free ice cream.
