This place is great. I usually get a bowl and some sushi. I usually get the one called awesomeness. It's only 10 bucks and it's torched crab and lobster. I believe it's really good. Lots of parking here as well

Love this place as there's so much options to choose from. Only downside is the language barrier.

I ordered two Pink Lady rolls today and received very rotten fish. Its so rotten it even has mold on it. If a restaurant cant take such an easy, small order seriously and can send out rotten sushi to a customer its not worth your money, time or health to eat here. I REPEAT DO NOT EAT AT MAKIRITTO UNLESS YOU WANT TO GET SICK FROM ROTTEN/BAD QUALITY SUSHI!!!

Fantastic place for a quick bite!!!

Love this place - go here once a week. Got a couple of smoked salmon spicy crab rolls today. Smoke salmon looks off to me. Colour is wrong - dull and brown in spots. Smell is borderline. Scares me to eat it. Called the store and they said the salmon is totally fine. No offer to remake something else or refund. Attaching a pic. What do you think? Would you eat?

Yummy in my tummy. Some would way the bowls have too much greens but overall the flavour and ingredients were great.

Overall I think the quality is fine and the atmosphere is fine as well. I usually get take out and had actually never eaten at the establishment however I do find that their burritos aren't wrapped properly and tend to make a mess of your hands and clothes. The seaweed wrap and the paper get stuck together and then it all just falls apart which is frustrating if you're taking to go on the road.

We often drove by on Woodbine but never ventured inside until now. It operates like a fast food joint, with a few communal large tables for dine-in, but seems to mostly draw in a take-out crowd of workers nearby. There is such a large variety in their menu, but we opted to try the poke and sushi burrito (something you can't find in most sushi joints in the area). Portions were generous and everything tasted really fresh. While I'm still loyal to The Poke Box as my go-to poke place in Markham, the poke bowl we had here was definitely a tasty one. I do think they need more citrusy sauce options though, perhaps a yuzu vinaigrette or something similar because from what I remember they only had a sesame vinaigrette and the other options were all creamy. The Mango Tango Sushi Burrito had a good combination of ingredients that worked well together. I loved the Mango paired with the Tuna. Overall a solid place for lunch on a weekday. We'll have to come back to try some of their rolls and bentos.

Makirrito Poke Bowl & Sushi Burrito has quickly become one of my favourite spots for a satisfying and fresh meal. The portion sizes here are impressive, and each bowl is packed to the brim, ensuring you get your money's worth. I typically go for takeout, but it’s nice to have the option to dine in, especially when I have more time to sit down and enjoy my meal. The restaurant's clean and welcoming atmosphere makes it a comfortable place to eat in, although the convenience of takeout usually wins out for me.

One of the highlights for me is their build-your-own poke bowls. The customization options are extensive, allowing you to create a bowl that perfectly suits your taste. I’ve tried their sushi a few times, and while it’s quite good, I find myself gravitating back to the poke bowls time and time again. The freshness of the fish really stands out, particularly with the salmon, which is my favourite. I usually opt for double salmon because a single portion just isn’t enough for me. If they were a bit more generous with the salmon portions, it would elevate the experience even further.

Another feature that adds to the convenience is their system for tracking orders. When you provide your phone number, they keep a record of your previous orders, which is a huge time-saver, especially when you’ve found a combination you love and want to reorder without having to remember all the details. This little touch shows that they care about providing a seamless experience for their customers, which I really appreciate.

In terms of quality, Makirrito consistently delivers fresh and delicious ingredients, which is crucial for both poke bowls and sushi. The rice is well-cooked, the toppings are plentiful, and the sauces are flavourful without overpowering the natural taste of the fish. The only minor drawback for me is the portion size of the protein. As I mentioned earlier, I usually go for double salmon, and while it’s delicious, I do feel that the single portion could be a bit more generous. This is a small critique, but one that, if addressed, would make the experience even better.

Overall, Makirrito Poke Bowl & Sushi Burrito is a fantastic spot for anyone who enjoys fresh, customizable meals. Whether you’re a fan of poke bowls or sushi, there’s something here for you. The ability to tailor your meal to your liking, combined with the convenience of their order tracking system, makes this a place I’ll continue to visit regularly and recommend them to anyone looking for a fresh and fulfilling meal.
