The food was good but portions could be a little bigger and hotter.

Every time when we shop at the store, we always eat here, good food and good service as always! It is unfair people give them a low rate and negative comments, maybe they have theirs own unique expectations? Probably they want to pay food court price and got the 5 star restaurant treatment, that I don't know. The reason now I never trust those comments to determine the place I wanted to go for food or shop!

Hidden inside Heisei mart acting like their defacto food court, this small restaurant offers many authentic Japanese cuisine like Ramen, Soba, Curry etc.
The price is incredibly reasonable and portions are good. There's not much fancy but the basics are done well and often find myself coming for a quick fix of Ramen or curry.
Note that seating is at a premium and sometimes there will be a wait for seating.

It's a Japanese home-style food court. The atmosphere is like a Japanese backstreet restaurant 20 years ago, and the taste is good because it tastes like a Japanese home-style restaurant! However, it was a little small.

Cheese Curry & Half Miso Ramen, feels it isn’t miso soup, bland!

Tucked away behind heisei mart, niwatei provides friendly, fresh japanese meal sets. Because it is more hidden, it's less busier than cafe green tea across the neighborhood. I ordered the tempura cold soba and the portion of the cold soba noodles were generous, with a tasty but light and refreshing dipping sauce. Plenty of parking, accepts amex, and washrooms are behind the cashier of the supermarket. Highly recommend for your next visit to j-town!

Very small, not half but 1/3, I ordered half ramen and half curry, when the food arrive, my wife and my kids have the same comment, is that too small for both ramen and curry? I nearly eat here more than 1 year and I just order half ramen and half curry. However, this time I can’t accept the size. I believe the reason is the shop gonna to be closed and they don’t have enough ramen for the dishes. I hope you understand that what I want is just simple size but not bigger and obviously you don’t. I hope you can focus on this issue as I really support you from the first day I came.

This place is in the corner of the supermarket. There are Japanese foods such as ramen, udon, curry, pork cutlet, and bento. The price is reasonable and the taste is ordinary but full of Japanese feel. I love the half and half menu here. It's great because you can choose from two different menu items and eat them at once. I love the takoyaki here so I definitely eat it. The interior is a bit cluttered, but I like the food here and go there sometimes.

Definitely a tranquil place for authentic Japanese udon, ramen, curry, and street snacks, during the weekdays.Notice: the restaurant itself is inside a mini supermarket. The front counter is not staffed, but a staff member will come out to take your order when you ring the counter bell (so there is absolutely no rush to decide what to eat!)Generally, the orders come with complimentary water and side dishes. The Ultimate Curry Udon is delicious and can absolutely fulfill a big appetite!

It was just ok…- Our order was wrong. we asked for cold soba but the order was punched in as cold udon, and we didn’t realize until we got the food. Oh well- I found hair in my curry. Oh well- Water smells like old tap water, as does the cold udon (I’m guessing the udon was washed in it)

Cozy place to hang out. Omurice was great, but the curry was sour, not the same as the usual Japanese style curry. Shrimp tempura tasted good but wasn't the tempura batter.
