Terrible service. Waiting here to order as I type, and lady at the counter ignored me waiting in line to order, serving other customers who speak their native tongue. Not sure why I’m getting discriminated while waiting to order and being ignored entirely. Even if you are busy, this is no way to treat your customers.Edit: watching chaos unfold as I’m waiting here for about 30 minutes for food court food still not yet available. The same lady taking orders runs around helping front counter and kitchen. Food is left for pickup at the counter while she frantically tries to help with kitchen work. New orders are declined due to long wait times now. I feel sorry for how busy she is.Edit 2: Took 57 minutes to get my order of 4 baos. Nong Tang Li has all the ingredients to have a really good Sheng Jian Bao, but execution is not great. Perhaps there is too much time between prep and cook, which results in a soggier bottom and a very bready top. Flavour of the meat and soup were very similar to what you can find in Shanghai.

Nong Tang Li is a food vendor in the King Square Shopping Centre food court. They have a limited menu of 8 items, including saucy pork meatballs, shengjian bao ($6.99 for 4pieces), fried noodles, vegetable rice, wonton soup, and smoked fish. I went on a Tuesday and they only had 4 items available. Thankfully I was looking to try the shengjian bao and wonton soup, which were available. The two items came to $15 total (cash payment).When I got home 10 minutes later, the shengjian bao were still hot and the exterior was still crispy. I like that the fried bao “skins” were thin, and were not oily like other places I’ve tried. They had a good amount of meat and flavourful soup inside the bao.The wonton soup came with 12 wontons, and a rather plain but clean tasting broth with bits of seaweed in it. The wontons were tasty with thin skins and packed with filling. We enjoyed the soup more after adding some garlic chili oil. Will definitely be back!
We ordered take out from Fantuan app and was curious about the $2.99 blind box item. It turned out to be smoked fish with tiny bones in them. I was expecting it to be at least something on their small menu. I could not feed the fish to my toddler but If you were into bony fish, the taste was fine. I also ordered the wonton soup, and it was delicious. The san ji bao was still juicy when we got home. The taste was not bad.
