Came here last year and everything was great, came again today opening time and lady with tattoos was rude with an attitude. Glad to see other people here agree about her. Aside from her, the other employee looked more welcoming.
For someone who works at a cafe, it's unbelievable that she doesn't know what a "regular coffee" means which is just basic knowledge. Anyway, the sweets were alright but definitely won't come back here anymore.
There are other places that sell better desserts.

2024 September 3★ Located inside j-town, this cafe serves sweets and drinks. Their popular milk gelatin cats do sell well. Though as a heavy hojicha drinker, certainly now interested in their hojicha latte.
Hojicha Latte $6.5 medium sized At first sip, it's decent. A mellow flavored drink and slightly sweeter than I prefer, but decent none the less. Would've liked it more had the hojicha was richer.
They offer other cookies and sweets including wagashi and unique and beautifully designed mochi.
Certainly other items to try out.

Oyatsumi Cafe is a great Japanese cafe with many unique pastries and treats.
The items we bought were delicious and had good flavours. We particularly enjoyed the earl great tiramisu.

Bad service . Impatient employee. I want to change my order from matcha pudding to matcha ice cream. This white shirt lady got frustraded, ask me "what do you want,i dont understand what you want anymore" and then slap to flip the payment screen to us hard, ask me to pay.
No "please" no "thank you" to the customer?

i was going to leave a review about two rude customers from earlier today but it looks like some people already beat me to it ?
a couple and their daughter came in and started holding up the line because they couldn’t decide what to order and then got really offended over the one of the girls turning the ipad over for them to pay and made a huge scene. the workers did the best they could to get them to calm down but they kept throwing a tantrum, ironically their kid was more well behaved than either of them. even after they had their order taken, the husband would not shut up and kept huffing and puffing over the whole situation while the workers were helping other people. they kept saying things like “check the cctv footage” like a bunch of people didn’t witness what had just happened. rude people are so predictable because i knew the photos they were taking would end up on google reviews ? ? ?
anyway, big props to the two girls for handling this situation well. i came with my friend and we are definitely coming back to try the mango milk pudding next time. the matcha mango latte was delicious ?
Super cute place, we tried 3 types of tiramisu! Met the owner, such a sweet lady! The place was very clean, though I wish there was more color or decoration. I hear they might be expanding, so I'm excited to come back and see!

I had some out-of-town friends visiting recently and I recommended them to visit Jtown. They mentioned that they went to Oyatsumi cafe but had a less than pleasant experience with customer service. I was there late June and early July but I didn't want to leave a review then as I thought maybe they were just having a bad day and just gave them the benefit of the doubt. But since my friends also had similar experiences at different times, I thought I should bring it up so it won't happen again because it would be such a shame to tarnish Jtown's shops usual pleasant customer service reputation. I think the person who cashed out my purchase was named Tiffany but I could be totally wrong so whoever was working the cash on June 30th around 5:35pm could have been a little friendlier and not act like innocent customers are a nuisance. I came back July 2nd around opening time hoping to buy other sweets and some other goodies. There was a different woman behind the counter whom I asked a question about the glass tumblers. Again, could have been friendlier. I didn't end up buying any since their attitude completely turned me off. I hope this issue will be solved somehow because I love supporting local shops' longevity who cares for repeat-customers loyalty once products' initial 'viral' popularity die down.
