Our group of six visited the Silo Restaurant for brunch. The setting was lovely and the atmosphere relaxed — a great spot for a weekend meal. Overall, the food was generally good, though it didn’t quite meet the higher-end expectations we had for a golf club setting.
There were a couple of missteps with our orders. One member’s eggs benedict was served upside down, which was honestly a bit upsetting to see at a place like this, it took away from the presentation and experience. Another member had requested cheese on the side and no butter on the toast, but the cheese was mixed into the omelette and the toast was buttered.
That said, our server was very helpful and quick to make things right, which we appreciated. The service definitely helped make up for the kitchen’s oversight.
All in all, a decent brunch with friendly service, but a bit more attention to detail would elevate the experience significantly.

First of all I have to say I have been to the silo grill many times with girlfriends :). The food is always delicious! The room is beautiful💗
Unfortunately, we had the worst service :(
Our server brought our food and never saw him again ! We had to get his attention to get more water . He never checked on how our food was. He did take our plates away but didn’t ask us if we wanted a coffee or dessert
This is the second time we have had horrible service.
We will not return.

We had a great time there. The restaurant has nice ambience. Kids went to the meet Santa Claus before dinner and adults enjoyed our time at the restaurant. The food was fine but could be better. The pork chop I ordered was quite tough and a bit hard to chew… overall it’s a nice restaurant for families.

Vegetarian options: There are not many vegetarian options.
The overall experience is good. They have good portion, and the quality is great. They have good service and the seating is not so crowded.
Silo Ripeye Burger is cooked well, the fries is lightly coated and it is done well and crispy. The nachos is quite loaded with beef chili and other toppings, the tortilla is warm and crispy. There is a lot so it is definitely enough to share. we ordered the honey garlic wings is fresh hot and juicy, yet not too saucy. Drunken mussel is mild spicy, but it could be too spicy for someone who can't tolerate any spiciness. Seafood Linguine has plenty of mussel, shrimps.
The only thing I would not recommend is the chicken strip. The coating is way too thick and way too hard, your teeth and jaw definitely need to be strong enough to bite into. Some parts of the coating is so hard that it almost like almond.

My date and I had a wonderful time dining at the patio - we loved the beautiful golf course in the background, the amazing sunset view, and really delicious appetizers and cocktails! I hope to be back again before the summer ends :)
We shared the following appetizers - Tuna Tartare with mixed mango salad and sticky rice, and Crab Cakes were loaded with crab meats! They were both very filling (like a meal on its own!) and quite tasty. We also had a red Sangria and a Negroni. Both strong and very good cocktails!
Thank you to the hostess, and our server, Lawrence, for taking such a great care of us! Highly recommend a visit at Silo at Angus Glen Golf Club, and enjoy the summer sun!
