Symposium Cafe Restaurant Markham

I had a wonderful experience at Symposium Cafe Markham. The manager, Dilshan, is outstanding – so friendly and professional, and he takes care of every customer with a smile. The food is excellent, especially the seafood pasta and fish & chips, which were perfectly cooked and full of flavor. Dilshan makes sure everything runs smoothly and every guest feels special. Great food, great service, and a very welcoming atmosphere. Highly recommend this place!

I went into the restaurant yesterday at 6:00 and enjoyed going there before when Kasun was working. I had been there before a different day in the evening but didn’t want to see the new manager again this time, however, there was no manager at all. I didn’t like the new manager, as he asks too many questions and harasses the table and doesn’t seem qualified for the job at all. He is extremely awful, and if you went in, you would know as well. However, I wasn’t even able to order anything since I felt so horrible for the server. She was trying her best and was running around taking care of the tables with absolutely no support! Where is the manager??? I believe the employees in this establishment are being treated horribly, and someone needs to come check this place out.

I visited this restaurant this evening and was so impressed by both the food and the atmosphere. Everything we ordered was absolutely delightful. Our beautiful waitress Leeza added such a personal touch with her genuine smile and attentive service which really elevated the whole evening. I’ll definitely be back and highly recommend this spot to anyone looking for a great dining experience

Missing food when arriving at the table along with the orders not showing up even close to the same time so food got cold.
My chowder tasted microwaved and the salmon salad was underwhelming for $25.
The salmon was actually pretty good but why not add avacado? The vegetables were very meh.
My partner's smoked salmon tasted old to her.
Honestly, if you want symposium...go to a different one.
Also very overpriced, who is gonna pay $5 for a small glass of orange juice?
On the bright side, the restaurant is clean and has a good vibe and the server was nice, but the restaurant is not accommodating.

Our party of four had the early morning breakfast special on a Wednesday morning in August. The eggs, bacon, breakfast potatoes, avocado toast were all delicious. The servers and the classic symposium ambiance made for a very pleasant experience.We have now made plans for a lunch meeting there.Great job Team Symposium!
