“Carb counter? Forget it!
This place was recommended to me by my online friends. So we’d thought we’d try it out.
The restaurant is in First Markham Place. Man oh man. Do NOT come to park on the weekend. It took me a good 30 mins to find parking here.
The restaurant is not in the mall, but one of the restaurants on the edge. It’s quite a small restaurant with limited items.
The main claim to fame is the beef soup noodles. They also have a bunch of snack. So We ordered one large beef tendon bowl as well as a pork dry noodle bowl. We skipped the stinky tofu.
They have three different noodles, glass noodles, rice noodles, or their homemade noodles. We decided on the homemade noodles.
Boy oh boy, the noodles bowls did not disappoint. There was a generous helping of noodles in each bowl. We tried the soup noodles first. The beef soup was excellent. It was salty and sweet. The salt was not overpowering. It was fairly complex in flavours. The noodles had the correct springiness. It came with plenty of beef chunks and tendons that were firm, but not too soft; the beef had a bite to it.
Next we tried the dry noodle bowl. It was flavored with soy sauce and sesame oil. It was also delicious. The pork was very nicely seasoned. But the true star was the soya egg. It had absorbed the soya sauce flavor and had a hint of star anise. It was absolutely incredible.
Overall the meal was quite enjoyable. I would be happy to recommend this restaurant to anyone who has a craving for noodles. 🍝“

“*Reviewing as a picky bubble tea drinker*
Tried the watermelon slush that was recommended by another review and can confirm it is freshly blended, refreshing and delicious. Unexpectedly, pearls are included too! They're fresh, very basic pearls (not much flavour that you would expect from top tier bbt places) Excellent deal for $3.50, tax included. Would try other slushes too next time.
龜苓膏 Gui ling gao is $5.00 and appears to be house made. Also tasty!
Thinking about getting the rose green tea to-go as I slurp my watermelon slush. It's another recommended by a different reviewer. Would definitelu come back if I lived around here.“

“Like the other reviewers, I'd also recommend the fried pork chop on rice (which includes vegetables, tofu and a braised egg).Excellent value and the pork chop is quite tasty, all for $7.25 (plus taxes as of Sep2018).Do note that they sometimes add hot red pepper flakes to the veggies, which you may or may not want to pick out.I'm sticking with the no heat option at this place as the spicy hot option is for me... pretty spicy and hot, especially if I swallow a chilli pepper by accident.“

“Thanks so much Cowa for providing such excellent service, especially during cold weather. The food always arrived at our front door warm and delicious. It saved us so much time and portion is big for both mom and dad! I compared a few confinement food companies in GTA and at the end decided to go with Cowa because;(1) it has a central commercial kitchen with permit from the city instead of home kitchen(2) it has a set pre determined menu(3) it allows me use my own glass boxes(4) the service is excellent (thanks to Brandon) and provide lots of flexibility when I wanted to switch the menu a bit.Last but not least, we liked it so much and we ordered two months! Thanks again Cowa!“

“Fast, friendly, and tasty for an amazing price.
Came here on the recommendation of the card shop owner in the mall. In his words this is “the best place in the plaza to eat” and I cannot agree more.
Got the Taiwanese sausage and popcorn chicken bento a few times. Both are good, but they’re known for their popcorn chicken. It always comes out hot, crispy and crunchy. Perfectly seasoned as are all their side dishes. For side dishes I recommend the tomato + egg, green beans, tofu, and/or the sliced potatoes (when they have it).
It honestly puts the nearby T&T’s cafeteria to shame. The service is also incredibly efficient and friendly. Always get my order quicker than a McDonald’s and long lines move fast. The aunties here are extremely fluent in English so it’s really easy to order for non-Chinese speakers. Takeout and cash only, but well worth the hassle of cash.
Highly recommended, will definitely come back again :)“

“I bring my children here every week. My children are picky eaters. It is rare that my children like this food very much. It is really delicious and not too greasy. There is not a lot of MSG seasoning. I hope to maintain the standard and bring my children here every week in the future!“

“This is the first time I have tried this dumpling place and completely loved it. Although I had to take out, I would definitely come for dine in the next time. It's not a very fancy place if you want to have a proper dine in. I tried their veggie dumplings and mushroom ones- so good.
And for takeout , the extra condiments I felt were less for an order: chili oil. Rest all was good.
