The service is very poor, the environment is very bad, the food tastes very bad, the waiter's English is also very poor, he can't even understand how to use hot water, I will not patronize him again in the future.

Ordered 2 kamikaze rolls and as you can see in the photo, they just filled it with salmon scrapings. The salmon inside was completely shredded to the point that there was no integrity left. It was not an acceptable or good roll at all. Better to get sashimi slices instead.

Best Taro location! Spacious and a large variety of Japanese food! It’s good that one of the most loved Japanese food market has this new location.

The sign says open and the hours say open to 7 but the kitchen closes at 6 pm. Didn't manage to get any food. Can't order food online. They only allow you to order one day ahead. Not very convenient.

Came here many times to get sliced sashimi but this was the first time we decided to dine in. We got the three ways of salmon don.In the bowl there was plain sashimi, a torched salmon and a diced marinated salmon. It also had a few green veggies, a piece of shrimp and a soft boiled egg.The salmon was very high quality. The torched salmon was extremely soft and had a melt in your mouth quality. I do not usually enjoy soft boiled eggs but this one was quite good and added a refreshing feel to the meal. I would highly recommend this dish!

Make sure you come early as the dining room was packed for weekday lunch. You have the option of ordering off the menu or bringing the fish from the fridge to be prepared the way you want.We opted for sashimi style. It was a little expensive but very fresh.

Ate here on the last Saturday of the year, around 1.5hr before close. There were some people inside, but it wasn't too busy and crowded. It also wasn't that loud inside. They have a fish market-grocery set up with pantry items such as chips, alcohol, fridges for drinks, fridge and freezer chests for fish, and regular fridges for other fish. They have ordering counters to order sushi and other menu items, and to cash out. They also have a separated dine in area. During my visit, there were 2 other groups seated. There's probably room for at least 10 4-person groups. They have an option where you can select and buy fish from the fish market area and they will cut it up for you and serve it in the method of your choice, e.g. Chirashi, temaki, etc. if you're like me and couldn't decide, they thankfully have other set menu items to choose from. I got the sushi deluxe set. When you dine in, they give you a limited drink menu to choose from but you get the option of hot tea for $2. If you want, you can buy the drink ahead through one of their fridges and bring it in. Last call for dine in is 1hr before close. The sushi itself was fresh. Personally not a fan of spicy salmon-type of rolls which it included, but it was good. The red snapper came in a plentiful portion, considering the rice was more like a filling to the fish and not just covering one side. The fish was fresh and not fishy in any way.I liked that the server asked us if we were ok with having wasabi in the sushi or if we preferred it on the side. We opted for inside. We were served disposable wooden chopsticks (though the quality was not bad), and packets of soy sauce in reusable bowls.Overall, I really enjoyed this meal. I've been going to their North York location for several years, so it was nice to be able to try this location out.Parking: Located in a plaza with a shared parking lot.Kid-friendliness: Grocery pantry section with snacks

What can I say? This is the best of the best sushi and sashimi in Toronto. They have three locations in the GTA. Don't take my word alone. The proof is in the quality and the honesty of the service. Where else can you pick your own sushi grade fish and have them serve it up to you on a platter for dine-in or takeout. Enjoy! I know you will.Kid-friendliness: Enjoyable for the entire family.Wheelchair accessibility: Clearly marked ramp, wide openings, friendly counter heights and automatic doors.

I called this location on Dec 30th to pickup for New Year’s Eve. Amazing service and communication from the staff. When I went to pickup the food, the atmosphere was really aesthetic and clean. I also saw there was a seating area, which I am excited to try one day. I love that they have a fridge where they sashimi and you get to pick and choose which pieces you want. I got a variety of sashimi. They also offer to cut the sashimi for free! Loved that the sashimi was cut just the right size, not too thin or too thick. Also, the sashimi was really fresh and the otoro tuna just melted in my mouth. Everything was delicious including the maki and rolls. Will definitely come back again!

This particular location is large compared to their other locations. Also has a sit down restaurant area with sushi specials. A large variety off sushi , sashimi, other seafood items. All very fresh and made to order. Bought a nice chunk of hamachi, they slice it for you after payment. The uni/rice cones were fantastic, they ingeniously packaged it so the seaweed sheet is separated from the rice/uni. Directions are on the plastic packaging on how to unpackage and assemble the cone. A little pricey but I think it's worth it for the quality and freshness of the seafood.
