I loved my experience here. It was like going to her home and she made something just for you. It was just us and she asked us spice level and if we’re craving anything and she made us two stunning fresh dishes rich in flavour. Both her and I were surprised when me and my husband ate every bite as the portions were quite large :)
We have been eating at Ancila's for more than 10 years. My family and friends all enjoy her authentic home cooking style. It is our go to place to entertain our out of town visitors. The problem is that she can only serve so many people per night. It was pain to see her turned away customers. I suggested her to use a food processor to prepare the vegetables and spices ahead. She said "no" with a smile. She insisted that why her dishes taste and smell good...
A one woman show who cooks fresh indian cuisine from the moment you order. She does orders country style (Asks about spice level and preference in flavors, and goes from there) but she also has some menu lists on her website in case you prefer that. She is so friendly and her restaurant is mostly empty most days during the time I was there; so it's very peaceful. Absolutely wonderful decor with plants everywhere and drawings from her kids when they were young on the walls....
