Busy restuarant, lot of functions and parties, use to be one of the better Chinese restaurants few years back, kind of lost it's luster and starting to look aged, the food has become average and nothing special, but prices are current and moderate for ho-hum dishes.
I have lived in Mississauga for 40 years and have watched how Emerald Restaurant bloom and stand strong against all challenges to maintain its excellence as a top-notch Chinese restaurant , not only in Mississauga, but among the numerous competitors in Richmond Hills, Markham, and Scarborough. While most restaurants nowadays , big or small, have cut down on the use of important spices and herbs such as green onions, gingers etc just to save penny cost , the chefs here garnish...
The food is really good. Hands down best Chinese cuisine I’ve had in Mississauga. It’s made on order and not mass produced so it’s very fresh.
The space is very large but quite dated. Sometimes part of the space is demarcated and used for events and the noise can be heard when dining but if you’re not looking for a fine dining experience then it’s not a big deal.
