While traveling through this area, we were looking for a nice place for a tea and coffee. We were, please to find this this lovely restaurant cafe. The tea and coffee were very good, but we also had to share some of the pastries available. Tasty muffins and scones hit the spot.
Delicious treats and excellent drinks. A friendly staff and different menu options rotated in and out. Recommended for a lazy saturday afternoon.Kid-friendliness: Staff was very kind and engaging to my 3 year old.

We asked Google Maps to find a nearby coffee shop on our drive home. It suggested Lighthouse Cafe. Situated downtown Mount Albert, it is a quaint, simple, welcoming place with a variety of sweet or savory companions to a coffee. They even carry take-out meals. It was great discovery. A unique place, with lots of character. We are certain the locals love it. Passing through? We suggest making a stop there.
