I've been coming to Chances "R" ever since it was part of the Shoppers City West Mall back in the 70s When the plaza was revitalized to College Square back in the late 90s I was happy that the restaurant remained. A couple of days ago I brought my son there for breakfast at around 11:00. The place was packed yet we were seated almost immediately. We ordered the Hartey Man's breakfast. Boy! We weren't disappointed. The waitress was friendly and cheerful. The plates were brought to us piping hot. And the smell of the bacon just captivated you. The hash browns are to die for. I wish I had their recipe. My 19 year old couldn't finish his so he asked for a take out container. And the price is more than competitive. A couple of days prior we had breakfast at Allo Mon Coco down a couple of steps away. I had a what they call a mighty breakfast. Two of each; eggs, cold bacon, hash browns soaked in days old oil, a crepe you could use as a discus, cold coffee and hard rock toast; for $23.00. My son had hot chocolate: $5.25 and the Poutine Philly: was $21.00. Needless to say it was my first and last visit there. But Chances "R" is my go to place for a hardy, delicious and affordable breakfast. I'm anxious to try their lunch and dinner menus.

They have updated their menu, reasonable pricing and still a good dining experience.Vegetarian options: Added a few meals that are more vegan friendly. Although pricey, easily the best zucchini sticks in the city. I will add the portion is large so the higher price point is justifiable . The garlic dip that comes with the zucchini is outstanding. We will be back.
