Tried for first time tonight on recommendation of two friends. I now highly recommend. The veg in the dishes were fresh and perfectly stir fried, not soggy at all. Flavours were subtle and tasty. The portions were huge. The service was outstanding and accommodating. Spring rolls were big but just OK. Thanks for a great meal! We ordered: garlic spare ribs, veg chow mein and kung pau chicken.

Fantasic food! We had a couple combo plates, beef & broccoli, wonton soup, and fried wontons. My wife said it was probably the best beef & broccoli she's had yet in Ottawa. Everything was awesome in the combos and the chicken fried rice was perfect. Zero complaints and will order again soon. Would love to see a combo plate with General Tso chicken. 😋

No other Chinese take out has satisfied my family as well as China Star. Their portions are great, menu is flexible, and they give lots of sauce with their dishes.
China star is my go to for chinese in barrhaven. Used them for about 10 yrs. I have absolutely no complaints. REALLY!I see negative reviews, and based on my many, many experiences, I not once could agree with any of the negative commentsBad noodles- I order Cantonese chow mein often, never a complaint from my family. Noodles are great. Other noodles we've tried just fine!The whole family became sick, the one time they ordered. Yeah, too lazy to cook when your family was ill. So, pass the buck?The food is great. Some people feel the need to complain. Never once from me.Some complaints about the ladies' "rudeness"... and to them... ever travel? See culture? Be happy it came to you. They are hard-working, honest, and reliable people. She has a lot going on, and she's a mover! Maybe she could slow down a gear when dealing with customers, but really to be offended? That's like ordering fast food(which is awesome) with a silver spoon in your mouth. Just smile, and you will get the correct order ??

HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE FROM LADY CASHIER/COOK. Food was passable. Be prepared to pay $89 for 6 egg rolls, ONE veg rice, one chicken rice and chicken wings. Bills are scribbled and hand-written. Highly overpriced. Zero customer service. Hard to understand her when you call in for your order.

Very bad customer service. They yell at you on the phone for asking questions, or if you don't understand what they're saying. The food was very bitter, and this is because the oil is definitely recycled, not fresh. I read some reviews earlier, the owner would reply something like oh you're confusing us with another restaurant, or this is the first time someone says this ect. This will probably happen to this review. If you guys want a good review, change your oil and cook fresh everyday. There's no way the oil was clean today.
