China star is my go to for chinese in barrhaven. Used them for about 10 yrs. I have absolutely no complaints. REALLY!I see negative reviews, and based on my many, many experiences, I not once could agree with any of the negative commentsBad noodles- I order Cantonese chow mein often, never a complaint from my family. Noodles are great. Other noodles we've tried just fine!The whole family became sick, the one time they ordered. Yeah, too lazy to cook when your family was ill. So, pass the buck?The food is great. Some people feel the need to complain. Never once from me.Some complaints about the ladies' "rudeness"... and to them... ever travel? See culture? Be happy it came to you. They are hard-working, honest, and reliable people. She has a lot going on, and she's a mover! Maybe she could slow down a gear when dealing with customers, but really to be offended? That's like ordering fast food(which is awesome) with a silver spoon in your mouth. Just smile, and you will get the correct order ??

HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE FROM LADY CASHIER/COOK. Food was passable. Be prepared to pay $89 for 6 egg rolls, ONE veg rice, one chicken rice and chicken wings. Bills are scribbled and hand-written. Highly overpriced. Zero customer service. Hard to understand her when you call in for your order.

Very bad customer service. They yell at you on the phone for asking questions, or if you don't understand what they're saying. The food was very bitter, and this is because the oil is definitely recycled, not fresh. I read some reviews earlier, the owner would reply something like oh you're confusing us with another restaurant, or this is the first time someone says this ect. This will probably happen to this review. If you guys want a good review, change your oil and cook fresh everyday. There's no way the oil was clean today.

I will first start, by saying that google should consider adding a new category, specifically for restaurants that exceed the five star rating because this location offers some of the best Asian dishes I have ever savored in my life.if you have never had the opportunity to taste their Beef vegetable plate, I highly recommend that dish, especially if you really enjoy vegetables(beef can be optional) , and the sauce included with this plate, is intoxicating. I also believe their prices are very acceptable. Hence why I keep returning.I appreciate their cooking so much that if they ever consider opening up a culinary school, i would inquire immediately about spots.China Star, i really hope you stay around. Barrhaven would not be the same without you.Thank you!

Not the type to write bad reviews but the food was not good at all. The chicken and beef had a chewy/fatty texture. Noodles were extremely bland and had a very weird taste. The wontons in the soup were also bad. Everything was cold as well. Would not recommend it and definitely not going back.

Do not buy anything at this store. I bought noodles at this store yesterday night and my entire family threw up in the middle of the night with bad stomach pain. We threw up the moo that we eat and my 5 year old son threw up many times with diarrhea. I was suffering from pain all night long. Worst experience ever. Don’t buy anything here
Well the food was actually good but the rude lady that answers the phone and packs the food killed the enjoyment out of the entire process. And it is expensive.Don’t mind paying money for quality food , but when a hand written scribbled total owed is thrown at me and I questioned the amont , she just yelled at me. I requested she punch it in the cash register beside her so I could verify it was accurate she all of a sudden couldn’t speak English. Well lady , if your not paying tax as a business , then I shouldn’t be paying you tax. Should have used a credit card so they would have to claim it. Lesson learned. Will not return.

Wow tasty! Order the shrimps with spicy sauce and you won’t regret it! Very nice quantity of shrimps too. Their fried chicken wings are great as well. The lady at the counter was very friendly and had a welcoming smile even when they were about to close. The chef working in the kitchen gave me a wave and hello too. Good people, good place. Highly recommend.
