We had Ishina cater our company's holiday event.
Service was great and the food was excellent.
Thank you Nippi and team.

Very bad good. There was huge catering at a party yesterday from them and it was expected they would have good food. It was no were close to being even SATISFACTORY.
Besides the fact there was no taste, the appearance of the food was not good either. It all looked seemingly black The food was quite salty as well.
You guys need to improve, you have been way too long in the business and could/should do better.
Vegetarian options: Not good.

Ordered a paneer dish for takeout while at the brewery next door. Fantastic food and kind service! Will be back.

Food was decent, but not the best Indian food. Pricey for the amount of food we received and we pre-ordered an hour and a half befor but still ended up waiting 30 minutes anyway because they didn't see our order come in. ?The lamb and Chana Masala were tasty and the naan was fluffy and fresh, but the butter chicken was too sweet and didn't have much meat in it. A little disappointing when you pay atleast $20 per plate.
Super tasty and reasonably priced!
A partnership with the Brewing Co. led us to order from here. A telephone call to order and everything went as promised. Delivered to our table next door at the Brewing Co by the restaurant was problem-free. They even add it to the beer tab so no fuss or bother at the table with several tabs. The food was hot and tasty. The only thing left was a slice of naan which disappeared into my brother's pocket. Would definitely order from here again. The tandoori wings; vegetable samosas and sweet chili paneer went well with our draft beers!
We went there after reading reviews.Tried mixed veg, Makhani Paneer, Dal makhni and Chpatis.(1) Mixed veg: Frozen cut vegetables bought from Walmart. Boiled andadded salt/garam masala only. Bakwas taste.(2) Makhani Paneer: 5-6 small size pieces in sour gravy. No taste.(3) Daal Makhani: no where it is clos to Indian daal makhani.(4) Chapati's waere eatable only.We read reviews and went there with lots of expectations.I think all 4/5 star reviews are paid or fake.Found tasteless food and my family did not like the taste.Owner should not cheat Indians like this. Not recommended to anyone. Please cook food at home, or go to any other restaurant in town.
Sharing my honest/unbiased experience after visiting
Sharing my honest/unbiased experience after visiting “Ishina Distinguished Indian Cuisine Inc” We went there after reading Google reviews. Tried mixed veg, Makhani Paneer, Dal makhni and Chpatis. (1) Mixed veg: Frozen cut vegetable packet bought from Walmart. Carrots and Broccoli only in it. Boiled and added salt/garam masala only. Bakwas taste. (2) Makhani Paneer: 6-7 small size pieces in sour gravy. No taste at all. (3) Daal Makhani: no where it is close to Indian daal makhani. (4) Chapati's were hard but eatable. I’m confident the food here poisoned us 🤮. It’s the only food we ate in the last 24 hours that we did not eat in the proceeding days. We eat 3-4 times outside in a month. Read reviews and went there with high expectations. I think all 4/5 star Google reviews are paid/fake. Tasteless food and my family scolded me for spoiling the weekend plan. Owner should not cheat customers like this. Not recommended to anyone. Please either cook food at home or go to any other restaurant in town. I would leave zero stars if I could. The food is mediocre for the price and to make it even worse it is not even close to authentic. You should not call yourself a Indian cuisine. ‘Distinguished’ is right in restaurant title because it is the 2nd worst Indian food I have tried in Ottawa during 5 years. Name should be “Ishina Distinguished Worst Indian Cuisine Inc”
25 minutes is a long wait. We ordered saag paneer, butter chicken and chick pea curry. I love saag paneer the best, chick pea curry was also good (has a nice aroma but lack of acidity for my taste) . However, butter chicken was just ok. All dishes were very smooth, mild, not too spicy. Mango lassi was the best!!
