Recently catered food from Rinag foods, and while most of the dishes were just acceptable in taste, there were several significant issues. Unfortunately, the chicken dish was spoiled, and despite reaching out to the owners with feedback, I received no response. I left multiple messages, but they didn’t bother to call back.
The kulfi was another letdown—it was essentially just frozen malai with no discernible flavor, not even a hint of cardamom or saffron. The naans were disappointing as well—store-bought, thick, and stale, with a paper-like texture.
It’s frustrating when feedback is ignored, and I strongly urge the owners to respect their customers' input. Quality control is key, and I would appreciate it if they tasted the food before sending it out for delivery. If they don’t believe the feedback, I’d be happy to provide a sample before it’s discarded at next garbage day. I hope they take this seriously and improve their offerings.
Deepak and team went above and beyond for our wedding! The food was absolutely delicious, beautifully presented, and enjoyed by all our guests. The team was professional, attentive, and made sure everything ran smoothly. We couldn't have asked for a better catering experience! Highly recommend!
Amazing samosas and well priced. This is an industrial building without much of a store front. But they prepare samosas quickly, even large quantity.
Rinag has always has a good reputation and food tasted good. And then we ordered a set menu for 90 people for our reunion and noted 2 major issues that unfortunately changes their reputation in Ottawa.
1) we asked for nut-free butter chicken and they delivered a tray with a sign that said " butter chicken with nuts". We immediately called Rinag several times to verify and get the right dish, but of course, no answer to our several calls. So, we could not serve this dish to our guests with nut allergies.
2)they delivered 90 naans in a dingy cooler with no liner, no wax paper and covered the bases with a yellow stained apron. I wonder if Ottawa Public health would agree with this practice. I will call then and ask.
It's too bad the remaining dishes were mildly spiced, were not as tasty as in the previous times but they sufficed for feeding that many hungry people.
I sincerely hope Rinag will reach out to us to discuss on how they can better serve the public but we will not be ordering from them again for our future events.
Their samosas and curry chicken are excellent
Fantastic samosas and great customer service!
Best samosas ever
I used Rinag for catering a wedding event for 170 people at a resonable price. There were various options for food and they were able to accommodate changes and personalize dishes to our liking. From appetizers, mains and dessert - the food was amazing and well loved by a diverse group of people. It was a little hard to reach at times, but once in communication, the staff was quick to respond. I highly recommend them.
Had the chance to attend an event catered by Baldev, Jack and Nitya and it was phenomenal! They were friendly, kind and very professional! Thanks to each of them and the company as a whole. It was a great experience
Pathetic customer service. I just called in to ask if the owner will be in on Saturday the girl said he is gone for the day and just hung up on me. I tried calling again it went straight to voicemail. Atleast have some decency to talk to your customers!!

Excellent samosas and pakoras. The in house dipping sauce is also great. Friendly service, good prices - I recommend Rinag!
We tried the pakora and samosa and were really tasty!
Fantastic Samosa’s for a great price! Love their Gulab Jamun’s!!
We would like to thank you and your team for your great work on the day of our wedding and the amazing food. We really appreciate the enthusiasm and your expertise in helping us plan the meals for the day, patiently with us.Your professionalism, experience and passion for food was so apparent in our meetings, and the food on the day was amazing. We appreciated the attention to detail and your ability to work with many different dietary requirements while still having an eye on excellence. The breakfast boxes were much appreciated, especially by hungry women doing their makeup. The samosas and chicken manchurian were delicious appetizers. The other ones were probably good, but we didn't get to them before the guests did.Due to a bit of a serving error, the bride got to try both the chicken and the vegetarian dish and both were absolutely scrumptious! the groom was a big fan of the Halwa and was so impressed with the freshness. One table told me that they were delighted when one guest didn't show up because a few of them had brought tupperware and took it home! The food was definitely the highlight of the event for a lot of guests, closely followed by the amazing weather (which we will assume you also arranged).I know that several guests told me that it was one of the best wedding meals that they had ever had. Top grades all around!
Worst samosas ever. Our vegetable samosas were almost nothing but potatoes. 6 peas. Nothing else. Won’t ever buy again. They were good, not anymore. Will be returning to Metro for money back.
